Salon Poppy

Kari cut my hair for about 4 years before she opened this salon and she is amazing. Unfortunately she doesn't cut do Men's cuts anymore but she is a master of her craft. Kristin is just as good for Men's cuts and I figured I'd give a shout out to them keeping me looking my finest while I was in Anchorage. Now I'm in North Idaho and nobody has been able to get my hair right. Best group of stylists coming from previous salons in Anchorage all bundled into a dream team at Poppy. I am a VERY long way from home! I liked what I saw on Poppy's website & they did NOT disappoint! My haircolor is a bit of a project-- but they got it not just right but prob the BEST I have had done! Beautiful cut plus highlights! The products they use/sell are exquisite & gentle. I will be in AK at least 5 years & will go to them exclusively!Services: Shampoo & conditioning

This is my first trip back since the reopening of the salon and they have taken incredible precautions to keep everyone safe. The stylists here are all phenomenal, everyone walks out looking great! I’ve never felt rushed through an appointment and have always been pampered by the staff here. I’m so glad this group of wonderful folks were able to stick it out through Covid and stay in business, they are the best! Kristen is my stylist and she is amazing. Update November 2020. Kristen is away for awhile and recommended I see Lindsey. She is fantastic as well. A pleasure to talk with, so friendly and a very skilled stylist.

Got my haircut here by Madora and she was absolutely amazing. I’m glad this shop was recommended to me because I had a great experience and the safety precautions they took were great as I am currently expecting and rarely go out as is. I didn’t have my haircut for two yearsdidn’t realize it had been that long lol. She was able to cut and style my hair super nice ~ I was impressed and really really pleased with the results. Plus since it had been so long I didn’t have to cut off as much as I had originally thought and she was the best about being able to keep length and doesn’t cut more than needed off! If I could give this place 10 stars I would because I have now found a salon that I want to go to again. Also the hairspray and shampoo smells amazing and I wish I bought some now that I’m writing this.

The woman that cut my hair just moved from wisconsin to alaska. I am a hairdresser by trade and she had no idea how to cut hair in my mind. I am seriously disappointed that a past hairdresser Kari would make an appointment with her. Just saying. Wont go back.

Aleese was my stylist. She was totally awesome!

My wife had her hair done here for our wedding from the blonde lady at this establishment and it turned out fantastic. Unfortunately, we cannot recall her name.
