I’ve been coming to this pizza spot since I was a kid and we still come here decades later . It feels like home away from home with familiar faces. They treat you like family. The pizza still taste the same unlike other spots in the area that have altered their recipe. Each slice has the right amount of sauce, cheese and crust to make it just perfect. My family and friends grab a slice or two or even a pie once maybe twice a week. Thank you for having such yummy pizza
Samaria Pizza reminds me of pizza I had growing up in East Harlem. We lived in a predominantly Sicilian neighborhood and when I visited for the first time it felt like a blast from the past. The owner is such a lovely lady who greets you by calling you "friend" and is so sweet. The entire vibe in there is relaxing and inviting. Best mushroom pizza I've tasted in decades. They also have many other delicious items on their menu. Best place for the entire family. I recommend this spot. Vegetarian options: Mushrooms, and peppers Parking: There is parking right in front of the restaurant and all over the large parking lot. Kid-friendliness: There is plenty seating available for the entire family. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily could roll a wheelchair right inside and up to a table to dine in.
Best meatball parm hero in the neighborhood! I tried it for the first time yesterday and was surprised how good it was. The bread wasn’t too dense, soft inside, crispy outside, meatballs and sauce were flavorful and you can’t beat the price. Food: 5/5
I can’t believe I’m late to reviewing this place. Astoria staple in my opinion. Definition of modest mom & pop shop. A nice crispy slice. Great cheese/sauce ratio. It’ll run u $3 but it’s worth it.Food: 5/5
Shoutout to Cheap Eats on YouTube for the recommendation. High-quality pizza here. Soft on the top, crunchy on the bottom. Definitely my new go-to spot when I’m in the area. Cash only.
Really kind staff man behind the counter, just wow. The slices are generous, pretty good, with a crispy crust. Not the best slice I've ever had in my life, but we've come back several times bc it's so convenient.
Mother & Son run the best pizza joint in Astoria, possibly all of Queens. Pizza taste and quality has been consistent since day 1 which is next to impossible considering how many pizza makers go through the life of a pizza shop. The crust, the slightly spicy sauce and the cheese all come together always and deliver with a kick to your mouth...
So nice, very affordable! We ordered a four-topping pizza and it was freshly made. Would come back again.
I have no idea how this conveyor belt cafeteria pizza survives in NYC. Flip it over and you can see the grill marks. Bland bland bland - dominant flavor is cracked pepper. No joke worst garlic knots I’ve ever had. Sad little bread balls that have to be seen to be believed. They look more like dumplings than knots. On the bottom of the foil they were wrapped in was about a tablespoon of oil with garlic. The garlic had that classic pre minced out of a jar look/taste.
Samaria is the best. Her slices do not flop when u hold it up. Perfect amount of crisp on the bottom without it tasting burntFood: 5/5
