Houston's best tasting In-House made Ramen Noodles

"Traditinal Japanese Ramen shop by Chef Ryo Izawa specializing in fresh noodles, Kyshu Tonkotsu and Tokyo Shouyu and also offering Vegan and Keto options.Hailing from Chiba, Japan, Chef Izawa looked to share his passion for Japanese Ramen. Establishing his first store in 2006, Ryo accepted serving nothing less than the quality of ramen found in the top ramen shops of Japan. This resulted in needing to make fresh noodles in-store as there were nothing that could be sourced locally that could satisfy his standards.Along with the freshly made noodles, Ryo offered specific ramen variations:1. Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen2. Tokyo Shouyu Ramen3. Sapporo Ramen4 Asahikawa RamenCome and ask your server to recommend a ramen crafted just for you."

I like it didn’t love it. Ramen was good, only one piece of pork tho, noodle were very good unless you get the gluten free ones kinda sucked, the broth was normal, didn’t upload a picture of them but the dumplings were not all that, very low flavour but the presentation was okay. I would definitely recommend tho.
Rich tasty broth and house made noodles. Their specialty is the egg. It takes 4 days to make them and they turned out like jelly with the inside yolk runny. Their dumplings are fried into a butterfly style to have a nice crunch at the bottom but soft and perfectly cooked as a whole. They also have fresh sugar cane and Thai tea/coffee. Service was excellent as well.
Absolutely delicious! This was our first time eating at a ramen spot & we knew NOTHING! Waitress & owner super helpful & took the time to really explain everything to us. The owner was even helping to bus tables! I was really super impressed because the customer service was some of the best I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time! Highly recommend!!!
Cool little spot with some great Ramen. I ordered takeout because I have kids, but it seemed like a nice place to sit at with some friends. Sakurajima tonkotsu ramen was excellent but I will go simpler next time as I think they will have great broth to make any dish good. This dish was pricy but the rest looked very well priced. I only wish there was an all white meat chicken option. Everything has so much flavor that it does not need the dark meat
About as close as we've gotten to ramen in Japan here in the states. Everything was fantastic and they carry Asahi Black which was neat. Gyoza is by far the best I've had in Houston. Didn't think I'd find a spot that would top Tiger Den but they did.
This was my first time at this place. I love it! The place remind me some of the local ramen places that I found randomly in small alleys in Japan. It is like the hidden gem. The flavor are so umami. The ramen, the sides are so thoughtful and perfect. This is one of the best ramen places in USA!
One of the good ramen places in Houston. Went here around dinner time, it was busy but we could get a table within 10-15 mins. The service is good and they make sure that they explain their menu to you. Their broths are wholesome, delicious and well made. We tried the spicy miso tonkotsu and the tonkotsu ramen, you can reply the protein and they do have a lot of additional toppings. Definitely recommend Samurai noodle for a good meal.
Solid ramen at a fair price. Not a large location, but enough room. Quick and courteous service. We got the Pork broth ramen, some edamame, and gyoza. They have a decent Asian beer selection as well.
I got tired of Pho and this is my newly discovered flavor. Whenever I dine there it’s good to the last drop. I wipe it all out man that bowl be clean once I get through with it. It’s so good it’s addicting. Y’all don’t know what you’re missing come visit this place but I warn you. You gonna be addicted to.
This place definitely rates 4 stars for very good food, ample servings, quick service, good food selection, and a friendly owner. The main factors keeping it from my 5 star rating are: 1 somewhat expensive offerings for a Ramen House; 2 a lack of spices and condiments on the table to add that extra heat or zest that many seek for their meal; and 3 an overbalance of the rice or noodles to the meat and vegetables contained in a dish. On the expense side, my lunch of a pork gyoza starter: a chicken, vegetables and rice bowl; and a Kirin Black beer cost a little over $30 with the tax and tip included in the tally. I very much enjoyed my meal and my appetite was amply satiated; but $30 is a little steep for something that would cost under $5 if you made it at home albeit probably not as well prepared as the restaurant On the spice side, the meat and vegetables in the meal came out with an enjoyable mix of soy sauce, hot pepper, garlic and ginger. However, the rice was lacking in flavor and needed some spicing up. I was able to get a bottle of soy sauce from the waitress that helped, but I had to wait about 10 minutes for the waitress to reappear from the kitchen area after serving me my food. And by the time I obtained the extra seasoning, I had already finished over half of my meal. On the overbalance of starches to the meat and vegetables, it is a common mistake of many restaurants to serve way too much of the relatively inexpensive rice or noodles accompanying the meal. A slight increase in the meat and vegetables being served combined with a decrease in the rice or noodles would be a nice enhancement. I do plan on going back to the restaurant to try out one of the Ramen dishes. The various versions which I observed being served to the others in the restaurant looked scrumptious. And all of the customers appeared to be enjoying it.
