The Santa Fe National Cemetery is a sacred, hallowed, and beautiful place. My father who served during WWII and my brother who served during the Vietnam War are both buried there. It is the most peaceful and beautiful place in Santa Fe because of what it represents...a final resting place for the men and women who have served in the US military. The staff, as well as the volunteers, are so kind and compassionate. It is an honor and a comfort to have my loved ones laid to rest in this tranquil place that I love to return to year after year. May God bless them, keep them, and may God bless America.

What an incredible sight to see! This cemetery is very impressive. It reminded me of Arlington and it was so beautiful to walk around and read about the people who gave their life to serve our country. This is a beautiful place for any American to feel proud and honored to be surrounded by such an amazing sight. I highly recommend stopping by this location!

We recently laid my grandmother to rest here next to my grandfather. While there I was actually told to leave the cemetery because I had my ESA Chihuahua in my jacket. He wasn't peeing or pooping or running loose, but the rude employee told me they didn't allow dogs. Well I also have a service dog that I had to leave at home because my dad is petrified of big dogs. On the website, it doesn't state no dogs allowed, there are signs for no weapons. My mother will never forget that I was not in line to say my final farewell to my grandma because this employee told me I had to leave so I went to where our cars were to wait for my family. The sad things is, is my grandma loved chihuahuas so when the family saw I had my Buster with me, they all laughed and said grandma would love that he was there. How dare your employee take it upon himself to tell me to leave during a very stressful time with my family. Had it been anyone else's funeral like an aunt or uncle or cousin I would have made a scene he would have regretted. But out of respect for my mother I didn't. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

The place is usually quiet and clean. They have a lot of issues keeping the sod alive in some parts of the cemetery. I am sure that most of that is due to climate and local watering restrictions. It could do with a little more consistent care though. Was a bit saddened by the state of some of the graves here.

Because of this place, both my parents can rest in piece together with a beautiful view of the mountains. #familyforever
