Visited in the early afternoon on a Monday in late August. Had an excellent pizza meal here. Tried the classic cheese along with a green pepper and onion - both were delicious. Tasty ingredients, nice crisp crust. Super friendly server. Nice old-school restaurant vibes in here, no pretence. The cooked meats looked great but we didn’t have the appetite for that in addition to the pizza; will need to try the meat next time. Quite fair prices I though. Very convenient location if you happen to be heading to Logan or arriving. I look forward to my next visit.
The best pizza in Boston! Incredible flavor, fresh ingredients made from scratch, expertly prepared served piping hot. The beef and lamb skewers were truly incredible, smokey flavor from the coals with perfect pink center. They serve them with a big chunk of hearty bread and peppers. Truly a gem and must-visit when in Boston. Traditional decor that reflects the history of this amazing place.
Amazing service by the staff and well-prepared pizza! Ordered "The Works" with anchovies, with a strong salty taste to it. Would recommend the meat lover option instead! 15-20 minutes wait for our pie on a busy Sunday lunch service. Don't forget to order their steak tips! Lack of parking spot, just like all of Boston. 88/100
Food: One of the worst pizza I have ever eaten. I ordered the chicken and shrimp pizza and having eaten pizzas in several countries, this was the the worst pizza. The pizza was soggy, floppy and tasteless. Too much sauce on the base and you could even lift the slice in it's entirety. Unfortunately this place seems is very highly rated and this really brings us to question the competency and authenticity of the reviewers. Falling under pressure to rate an already highly rated place highly is the very unfortunate reality of the times we are living in. And this is not restricted to just the food reviews, this mob mentality can is evident in every walk of our lives. In any case, worst pizza, never going back again. It tastes like frozen pizza or worse Rating: 1/5 Service: Had to Wait for almost 30 minuets outside their restaurant to be seated and then it took another 15 minutes for our waiter to attend our table. When we finally got the menu, the waiter was immediately ready to take our order without giving us any time to go through the menu. Then we had to wait for another 30 minutes or more to receive our pizza. We couldn't finish the pizza and wanted to take the leftovers and requested for a box. The waiteress forgot the box. The tables are very tightly packed in a very small area. Chairs are hard and small in size. Rating: 1/5 Atmosphere: It was lively, filled with people coming in and out but poor aesthetic appeal. Rating: 3/5 Overall rating: 1.5/5
Apparently this is the pizza place to go to in Boston! I've been twice and it's worth it! The skewers were awesome, especially if you sit by the grill! Awesome pizza and atmosphere. I'm from small town SC. So it was a cool experience to grab lunch from an old school pizza place in Boston, then run out in the snow to catch a fast cab to the airport! Awesome experience!!
So while visiting Boston I wanted to eat at the oldest and bestbpizza in the city. This place kept popping up. So I had to come here. My waitress was super friendly. Parking is tough but all of Boston parking is tough. So I ordered the steak skewer and it was good. To be honest o would have liked a A1 sauce to go with it. I know it's different and I didn't ask if they had any. My bad. Anyhow it was good. Then I had to order a pizza . The pizza was good. The crisp I thought was amazing. It was hot ! But I would buy again and come back. Parking: No parking but it's boston!
Tough to beat with the consistency. My second time there and it didn’t disappoint! Pizza crust left something to be desired but the sauce and cheese tasted amazing. Hadn’t tried their skewers but the lamb was amazing. 10/10 and cool how they make it over coals lol right by the bar. Bud light $4 and Peroni for $5 and you have a happy customer!
So much incredible Italian food in the Northside of Boston! Santarpio's is a classic joint, straight out of a movie. Except they don't serve by the slice, it's by the pie. The pizza was a combination of New York with traditional not deep dish. What really makes it is the crust. Between the bagels and the pizza there is clearly something good in the water that makes this magical dough. I went on my way back to the airport which was perfect because by the time I boarded, the pizza knocked me out for the whole flight! Again, a fantastic restaurant surrounded by other fantastic restaurants, all of which are always busy but always worth the weight.
We ordered the beef tips skewer and pepperoni sausage pizza and let me tell you i was impressed. The sauce was seasoned just right and the crust cooked just amazing i would definitely come back!
The cheese, sausage and garlic pizza was fantastic. Crisp on the bottom, good sauce and distribution of ingredients. Got the half baked and finished at home. Great idea. Also the BBQ sausage with hot cherry peppers and Italian bread was rediculous. Can't wait to get back here.Food: 5/5
