Our son has attended since kindergarten; now in high school. He has always enjoyed small class sizes, with very student oriented learning. Kids don’t “get lost in the shuffle” here. Teachers have pushed him hard, within reason, to where as he now considers colleges, we are finding him to be well-qualified, with the school enjoying a good reputation among colleges.
While they do have athletics, music, drama and other typical high school courses, they also offer other unique opportunities as asked for by parents, I.e. ASL as a language program. The sports programs are typically among the best in the state. Music and drama have lagged behind, but have improved in recent years.

Full curriculum from pre-K through high school. Teachers are genuinely concerned with the students and their success. We have been connected to the school since they added the grade school (merged with Heritage Christian School) and it has been a great experience. I strongly recommend Santiam schools.

My third and final child is about to graduate from 8th grade at Santiam Christian. I've always said that the SC Junior High teachers and administration are, collectively, one of the best kept secrets in the Mid-Willamette Valley. My kids have all had issues and quirks and difficulties and uniqueness. The staff has been pro-active with each, addressing areas to improve, approaching them with understanding, and speaking words of truth and encouragement. I guess all adolescents fit into the category of "special needs" as each one needs to be special! I consider each of the teachers to be my friend, co-leading my son with me toward maturity and a bright, wide-open future!
