My husband and I stumbled upon this place on our last morning of our trip. It was super close to where we were staying. The atmosphere was super laid back so we were able to relax and have a good meal before our flight. We both ordered the breakfast plate but 1 with toast and the other with a biscuit. Everything was excellent especially the jam and biscuit! We had a little rain but chose to sit outside under a big tree to enjoy it. When we come back this will definitely be on our list of stops!
Please understand that I am rating this establishment as an ethical vegan, and that my opinions may differ greatly from regular patrons who do not prioritize non-meat and non-dairy menu items… Clean, with cute and relatively comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. I was happy to see at least one non-dairy milk option for coffee. Lemonade was tart and fresh, and the drink menu was larger than I expected, in a good way. However… No paper/physical menu on hand for visually impaired/disabled customers. Did not currently have tofu, which was the only vegan protein/egg substitute besides beans, but you can’t make a tofu scramble with beans!. No vegan sandwich options. The only salad option out of two that was reasonably vegan-adaptable was the Mediterranean quinoa salad, and despite the large portion, it was lacking in flavor and I took the remainder of it home to add-on to myself. The chili avocado toast ordered and eaten by a friend was interesting, but unbalanced. A single slice of what looked like bleached white Bunny bread although the menu boasted “sourdough toast” was topped with perhaps 1/4 of an avocado, covered in an unnecessarily wide trail of chili oil. As a vegan who can certainly make similar at home, I have never found restaurant “avocado toast” worth the hype or the price that sentiment remains, but my non-vegan friend wanted to give it a try and did at least enjoy the flavor combinations. The blueberry pancake ordered and eaten by a friend was large and fluffy. Enough to enjoy twice, some bites at dine-in, whilst some at home.
Plenty of seating indoors and out in this cozy locals cafe. Great coffee, outstanding pastries — the blueberry muffin was so full of berries I feel restored! A fine short menu of hot and cold breakfast items and friendly service to boot. I will be back.
Absolutely loved the Cuban sandwich! So delicious. Cute cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. You need your covid card to eat here
Fantastic food and drinks! I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich on whole wheat toast, chai latte with oat milk, and the whimsical atmosphere as we dined for breakfast on the outdoor patio.Food: 5/5
Delicious and fresh food. Service was fast and they had great choices. I had the spicy whipped feta with avocado, arugula and an egg on top. Simple perfection. Great choice of lemonades and coffees as well as Chai. Sat in a cozy patio on the side.
Lovely cafe on a quiet side of town. The stain glass windows, wall mural, and the music gives you a chill vibe. I ordered the ABC juice with the well was shot, along with their avocado toast WHICH WAS AMAZING!! I would highly recommend this place if your looking for clean eats, coffee, and a good vibe!
With the extra high ceilings and religious iconography, the Cafe feels like it's taking you to church when you walk in. The food fell just a bit shy of a spiritual experience. My green breakfast sandwhich featured an egg, avocado mix, Swiss cheese, and a few other veggies on a bagel. The sandwhich was good, though a little too large to eat comfortably. The cheese felt unnecessary for the overall flavor. The lemonade I had with it tasted very fresh, so make sure you are comfortable with a more acidic taste. Overall a decent place to eat at.
Decent coffee shop in the bywater area. The staff are really friendly. they have fresh juices but they don't always have specific flavors in the cooler. They have a decent breakfast and lunch menu but their quality is okay. The food is fresh but not too creative. It's a nice spacious seating area inside and outside. I often see families here.
HONEST REVIEW: CATFISHED AND BLAND It is overpriced for average to low quality breakfast meals, I’d rather go to McDonalds since the food quality is equivalent. We spent $20 on a breakfast sandwich that looked well made, however underneath, it had bad avocados with unseasoned eggs. We also had the breakfast burrito that had wet unseasoned eggs that we slathered with hot sauce. I would say that the meals we had lacked flavor but the drinks were bitter. Their turmeric latte does not represent turmeric latte’s please look to Oregon Chai, the brand, if you want to know how the lattes they serve are supposed to taste. The 2 stars are for the customer service and atmosphere they are the only thing that brought me delight and were refreshing to see. Vegetarian options: This restaurant had vegetarian options but we did not consume them so I do not know their value.
