Save-A-Lot

Save-a-lot is good for what it is. Its a cheaper alternative to dillons and walmart. Selection is decent they have most common items and prices are pretty cheap generally. Quality is good. I would compare it to an aldis but quality not quite of aldis on some stuff but prices are about same. They always have good sales on items like soda and snacks and Meat and essentials. Thier meat is either decent or non exsistant depending on what day you go. Not going to find big fat juicy steaks or the better hamburger ground chuck or family pack of chicken breasts like you would walmart but for what they have its good and good price. I like thier brand of potato chips a lot and fairly cheap. They have funny named cheap soda like dr. Pop or mountain holler (holla?) Thats not that good and even dillons soda is better which im not much of a fan of dillons soda either. Selection is kinda multi cutural they have a lot of hispanic and mexican foods and cater to the black community some because of where its at on 13th and grove. (Not a bad thing just an observation). Its a popular store because its the only grocery store for miles around in any direction so things do sell out sometimes like meat or last week it was eggs. I shop here every day or other day and the staff is pleasant but there are long lines when only 1 of the 3 lanes are open. Also you have to bag your own stuff like aldis. Overall I have enjoyed going to save a lot for years now and its pretty good and its built a good community in the area around it. For some like myself its only option for groceries we have.

I love this store for just grabbing fast things to go with dinner and the workers are friendly and helpful. Their fresh vegetables are not always fresh..

Very easy to get to. On bus line. Very reasonably priced. Staff is courteous and helpful. Good weekly specials.

You can save alot of money by shopping for your meat here. Ckean store.

Friendly staff, they will even pay the bill for your groceries if you fall short. Love the people an this type of treatment you won't find anywhere else:)
