Food quality and test - 4.5 stars **** Vegetarian food - 3 stars *** Ambience - 4 stars ***** Cleanliness - 5 stars ***** Value for money - $$ Kid friendly - No Parking - limited and hard to find Good staff, good food, okay vegetarian choices. We had good time learning how to make lava cake. We both enjoyed food / dinner but was not quite pleased with limited vegetarian choice I believe they have Good wine and drinks choices. I don't rate that so can't talk about it. Here are pictures of our learning to cook and finished lava cake product.
My husband and I had a great time here! We both learned multiple new cooking skills and the food we prepared was delicious, as well as the beer that was paired with it. The chefs are all super helpful and easy to talk to. Great idea for a date night!
Took a class here and it was both fun and tasty! The instructors walked us through the whole process and have good tips along the way. The food turned out delicious and filling, and we even walked away with some extra desserts.
If I could rate Savory Kitchen 6 stars I would! I wanted to do something fun and unique for my 40 person wedding, where everyone was involved. Upon researching “team building activities" I came across Savory Kitchen. I could not be happier with my decision for my wedding reception! Since I live out of state, the owner Colleen was very helpful in all planning stages over email. Upon arrival into town the week before the wedding, Ashley warmly greeted us to go over any details and decorations we had prepared for the tables. The night of the wedding was perfect. Ashley and the rest of the staff were super friendly and hospitable, and made everyone feel like they were at their own homes. The “chopped” event we participated in was so much fun, everyone was laughing and truly bonded over the experience. I haven’t stopped getting messages from my friends and family over how great it was! Last but not least, the food was nothing short of amazing. We had salad, brisket, gruyere bread pudding, and of course the dessert from the competition we all cooked ourselves. Everything was perfect and I can’t thank Savory Kitchen enough for fulfilling my dreams of a non-traditional, super fun wedding reception. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something interactive to do with friends, family, or coworkers! Hoping I can add pictures soon after I get them back from my photographer. Thanks again!
This has got to be one of the best experiences this year by far. My girl took me here to cook and learn about food and we both had an amazing time. This was her second time going so she made sure this session was going to be fun, and it was! she did not disappoint! I had a blast. I was in charge of the risotto station. After preparing ingredients, chopping, and stirring for nearly 40 mins straight, my risotto came out delicious. The instructors even liked it! In the end, we had chutney bruschetta, risotto with mushrooms, salmon on top of potatoes, and lime banana bread with ice cream. Everything was delicious and to top it all off, we had Japanese sake flights in between to accompany each dish. Our sake instructor gave us thorough knowledge about the filtering process of sake. Overall, this was a nice experience. I did learn a lot and I'm also happy I got to make a dish that's well known for being one of the hardest out there. A special thanks to Alexandra and her staff for the support. I will definitely come back for more!
We had a really fun evening at Savory Kitchen; the class was informative and the dinner was so tasty! We really enjoyed the seasonal freshness of the cuisine. I cook frequently, but still had the chance to pick up a few tips I had not thought to incorporate.
Such fun! I had my group from work 9 people make a meal and eat it together. Amazing results! The staff of Savory Kitchen were excellent-very professional and supportive every step of the way. I highly recommend for team events!
This is a great place to learn to cook, I've been here for a dinner cooking course and it was a five star experience. I took the dessert class and am giving it three stars only because I felt that for the price there was not a lot learned from this menu as compared to the dinner lesson, which I had paid the same price. I also was a bit disappointed there was no table setting as this was for my mom's birthday and was hoping a bit more ambiance would be included as it was for the previous event here. The few dishes were delicious and the chef's/teachers were great - no complaints on that level and they all taught us something new and fun.
Fun but disappointing. We signed up for the Christmas cookie baking class. The instructors seemed very disorganized from the beginning. We wrote our name in a notebook because they didnt even know who was signed up for the class. Broke up into 3 groups of 6. Each group worked on 1 type of cookie at a time. It seemed like the instructors were not all on the same page. We often were told different things by different instructors. Roll the cookie in powdered sugar prior to baking... oh you arent supposed to roll them until after. This happened multiple times. I am not a baking expert but I know the basics. The instructors couldn't answer questions like "is the butter salted or unsalted" and told us to cook the caramel "until your group likes the color." Our caramel was burnt. Also they said one 9f the oven doors didnt close correctly, so some cookies took significantly longer to cook than expected. The class ran over an hour longer than wcheduled. And to top it off, we signed up for the morning class because the noon class was sold out. There was 6 people in the noon class compared to our 18. The instructors were still nice. And the people we met were fun and we got lots of laughs. We had a fun time and this was a cool experience, but I was disappointed in how unorganized the instructors were and my 1 dozen cookies I got for my $70 class. This class could have been executed better.
Staffs: 10 Stars Course Design: 3 stars Food: 4 stars Layout/environment: 3 stars Flexibility and accommodation: 5 Stars For corporate event I would probably do 20 people or less, or it gets crazy. You probably won’t learn anything about cooking or baking, but it’s a good team building exercise for a project team.
