Overall we had four great experiences. The first one was a little rocky because we did not have the documentation we needed and the person who assisted us basically blew us off. We went to see a Manager who sat down with us and helped us get through the process. Their wait times are reasonable and their staff was generally helpful.
If I were the governor of any state, I would REQUIRE the head of ALL the DMV Depts of my state to attend meetings in Blytheville, SC so as to learn how SOUTH CAROLINA operates the MOST EFFICENT, CLIENT CARING AND DWTSTWD DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL DO DMV IN THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES.
I recently renewed my license and got a real ID. Even though we are in the midst of a pandemic, the online appointment process, check in, and overall experience was great! It only took twenty minutes and the Shop Road location was quite busy and everyone was wearing a mask. You're doing a great job for SC! Keep up the good work!
They opened at 9:30am; I was finished with my business and out by 9:40am! That has to be some kind of record! Great service for a walk-in during these COVID times.
The young lady who assisted me with my REAL ID was very courteous! All of them were the young man at the front desk and the young lady who took the picture! Great Service!
There system is very organized from the online appointment to scanning in onsite. To them texting to you to advise that you're on the waiting list to them texting you that they are ready for you. Very efficient and effective.
Usually not bad experience except when their computers go down.
