My wife and I stayed two nights on 6/27-29/2022 and it was Fabulous! We were greeted at check in by Rick one of the two owners and he asked us a few questions to make our breakfast and stay personalized and perfect for us. The breakfasts were some of the best food we have had in a very long time. Laura Sue the other owner made sure our breakfast experience was perfect both mornings. The mansion is easy to get to, in a great location that is easily accessible to all of Milwaukee and it sites, and a perfect blast to the past in an historically preserved setting. It has good off-street parking for guests. We brought a dinner back to eat in the beautiful garden by the fountain. Overall this was a very beautiful
Beautiful! Just beautiful! So glad I was able to stay here. All the history and rooms are very well-kept, and the patio/fountain is so relaxing in the evenings. Breakfast was delicious, and a small tray with fresh flowers was waiting outside my door in the mornings. Very nice touch, and the owners are very accommodating. The Mansion has a lovely gift shop and quite a variety of teas, and it's an enjoyable walk to the river, if you've time. Saundra was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the Mansion and local area, many thanks.
We had a night away from the kids and decided a stay-cation was in order. Enter the Schuster Mansion, the mansion was beautiful and as comfortable as it was grand. We enjoyed our time here immensely. The morning coffee, juice, and banana bread being left outside our door on a beautiful silver tray was probably our most favorite part. I feel we could have spent hours wandering the mansion and seeing all the beautiful accents and antiques. Our hosts were very sweet and accommodating, not over bearing, yet we felt well taken care of at all times. We will definitely be back on our next weekend away!
For anyone exploring Milwaukee, a visit to the Schuster Mansion Bed and Breakfast is an absolute must! Whether you’re a tourist visiting the city or a local in need of a relaxing staycation, this gem should be on your bucket list – especially if you are a history buff. You will instantly step into the past and forget about all your present concerns. I had a fabulous stay recently and would like to share my experience. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by my hosts, Laura Sue and Rick. They invited me into the Victorian era parlor for a brief orientation of the mansion. I was so impressed by the meticulous restoration of the property as well as the attention to detail in its furnishings. It was clear that every aspect was carefully considered, from wall hangings to custom-made curtains and drapes. As for my accommodations, they certainly exceeded expectations and were at a reasonable price. The bed was quite comfortable and I must note that I am picky!, allowing for a great night’s sleep. The next morning, my hosts prepared a wonderful breakfast of my choice: a ham and egg strata with roasted potatoes, along with the most delicious French toast Laura Sue’s special recipe on the side. My hosts were most gracious and sat down with me to discuss the history of the mansion, which is located in the historic Concordia neighborhood. I highly recommend a stay here – as well as “Mollie’s High Tea,” when your hosts, dressed in period costumes, serve an impressive selection of tea varieties, along with savory and sweet treats, and tell stories about the historic property and Victorian traditions. You will not be disappointed with a visit to the Schuster Mansion. In fact, it will be a memorable, if not magical, experience!
What a beautiful gem near the heart of Downtown Milwaukee! My friends and I came for High Tea and we loved every moment of it. The exterior of the Mansion is so beautiful with a lovely garden that I truly wish I could've enjoyed to the fullest but because of the rain, we only walked around and took pictures. The interior really makes you feel other-worldly. Every detail is impeccable. The furniture, antiques, seating, chandeliers, decor, etc. was so beautiful. We were definitely in awe and tranced! Our host greeted us promptly and was so kind, explaining the teas and meals to us and being very attentive. My friends and I truly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!
All I can say is WOW! Rick, and Laura Sue are by far the best hosts. In a time where customer service seems to be so scarce. Rick and Laura Sue take it to the next level . We were greeted, and welcomed into their wonderful home with open arms. By the time we left we felt as if we were family. We were there during Christmas it was decorated so beautiful. I really felt like I stepped back into the past and was so overwhelmed with joy. All in all I highly recommend this Bed and breakfast. We definitely plan to return in the future, and recommend you plan on visiting. Tara and Jason James
The mansion is such a beautiful place. From the antique furniture to the garden - it embodied all the things you'd want out of a bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Pias Suite and it was lovely. Having a separate living area from the bedroom really added to our 3 night stay. We didn't do high tea, but wish we had, as we caught the tail end of breakfast and where able to see high tea in action on our way out the door for the afternoon. Breakfast was fantastic. The best strata I've ever had. Not to mention the lovely plate and silverware used for service. The neighborhood is no more dangerous than it is walking out my front door. Mind yourself and be kind to those around you.
My wife and I stayed in the Serenity suite and it was an amazing experience. We had high tea on the day we arrived, and enjoyed every minute of it. Laura and Rick were very nice and sat and talked with us during breakfast before we checked out. We only stayed one night, but wish we could have stayed longer.Rooms: 5/5
We LOVED our week-long visit to the mansion! Rick and Laura are excellent hosts and attend to every detail. I felt so spoiled when a tray of hot tea and sweet baked goods was delivered to the room each morning. Breakfast in the dining room takes one back in time to an elegant time that allowed for relaxation and lingering. The mansion is an attraction in its own right, but it is also located just a short drive from most other places to visit: Brewer's Stadium, 3rd Ward, Mitchell Domes, etc. Our stay included the 4th of July weekend and we were able to sit in the lovely garden and watch neighborhood fireworks.
Rating a two due to location, noise, and condition of the suite we stayed in. This is in a residential location but not in a great neighborhood. Around 2am we were awoken to a argument outside of our window between the neighbors which seemed to last over 30 minutes. Yes, we were provided ear plugs. At breakfast, which was late when we arrived downstairs due to the owner not sleeping well due to hearing the same argument we heard, which she said happens often between the shirtless black man and two women and she went out to yell at them to get off the lawn and therefore overslept herself. The bed in the suite needs to be updated, and the frame and headboard fixed. Each time you move, the headboard bangs the wall and the frame squeaks, which hopefully you aren't someone who moves in bed to experience this. The foot of the bed is also inches higher than the head of the bed. The shower curtain in the bathroom had green mold on the interior curtain and yes, we understand this is an older home but the water pressure and hot water are less than adequate. If you are looking for someplace to get a good night of sleep this is not the place. We have stayed in a few different bed and breakfasts and this was by far the worst.
