Can't say enough good things about this spot. The atmosphere was very chill with great mood lighting. The service was quick and the server provided great recommendations. The sea level oysters were on happy hour discount so no complaints there. But for me the highlight has to be the calamari. So much flavor and the Hawaiian delight was amazing. Will definitely return to tackle the rest of the menu.
The Scallops and risotto was delicious as was the happy hour oysters. Dessert was super creamy and worth every bite! Wait staff was consistent at ensuring my needs were met. The only downfall was that the table for two wasn't steady, and my cocktail arrived late. I would certainly go back again.
The oysters both ways were delicious! The muscles was so wonderful that the sauce can easily be eaten like a soup. The salmon plate cleaned completely. I don't think I left even a bit of it! The risotto was super filling & very flavorful. The shrimp I didn't try but he raved about it all evening! The waiter was super helpful and kind. 2 points of improvement is 1st the cleanliness of the bathrooms. & 2nd the oysters weren't super clean. Do note it's quite loud if you're not sitting outside. But, overall I had a great experience!
Can’t believe it took me so long to discover this amazing restaurant! Their seafood is locally sourced and so fresh. Top recommendation is definitely the BBQ Shrimp and Cornbread appetizer as well as the Salmon entree. They also have AMAZING clam chowder and lobster bisque!!! I would absolutely go again! Dietary restrictions: Pescatarian and gluten-free friendly
The service is outstanding. But I saw a few restaurant hygiene items that had me cringing. The food is good and the Bar is awesome. I highly recommend if it will be your first time there, go to the bar. The first time I went there I had the peach cobbler and it was very dry. I have heard that they have adjusted their recipe and maybe it's better now, I will let you k ow. I also had the chicken sandwich it was okay, the bun could be better and the pickled green tomatoes were great. Give the a try!
I stopped in here to grab some oysters and was pretty impressed; I'd absolutely go back and try more stuff out. The overall aesthetic is great. Love it. As far as food goes I can only speak to the oysters but it seems like they have a solid list of 10+ varieties that varies daily. I got half a dozen of one of my favorites, and a half dozen of something new. Both really good. I'd absolutely check this place out!
Tried this place out for Charlotte Restaurant Week and it was not bad! The place looks nice, the waiter was really nice and answered all of our questions, it had a really cool vibe overall. The food was good and I’d say reasonably priced. The shrimp and grits was great, 10/10. I recommend Sea Level if you’re a seafood fan, I’m not so much of one that’s why I gave 4 stars.
Sea Level is located in Hearst Tower. They have inside and outside seating. They are known for fresh sea food and excellent service! This is my second time here and I must say, they are still one of my favorite restaurants. We had a reservation and was seated immediately. They were packed for a Wednesday but we were greeted by our waiter within seconds of sitting. Our waiter was super friendly and very knowledgeable. To start, we ordered the Southern Fried Oysters. The hint of lemon made them very flavorful! They were fried to perfection and was underneath a well seasoned fried green tomato. To drink, I had the seasonal spritz. It was a delicious and refreshing drink! For dinner I ordered the scallops and risotto. The scallops were seared to perfection! My goodness! Oh wait! I forgot to mention that they were super fresh! The atmosphere here was so amazing! I really enjoyed myself. This restaurant is perfect for a date night, girls night out or work happy hour. To conclude our meal we ordered the Oreo Nutella cheesecake and the peach cobbler and all I can say is my my my! OMG they both were phenomenal!
Hostess wasn't very welcoming, server made up for it. Food was good but presentation needs work. Lobster roll good but fries lacked salt and were cold. Grilled oysters were really good. Shrimp and grits yummy and most filling. It would have been nice to have bread as a starter and a more extensive menu.
We went here on one of our date nights because my husband loves oysters but don't like them and this place had a huge variety of oysters and the price was great too. My husband loved them. We also had two different fish dishes which were so delicious and it came together so nice. For an appetizer we had the calabash shrimp which I was licking the plate but it was a little on the salty side. All in all the service was good, food was delicious and the drinks were strong we will definitely be back
