Our repairman arrived on time and set to work immediately. He diagnosed the problem with our dishwasher and replaced the parts that were not functioning. Then he was very meticulous to check and test the machine to be sure that it was no longer leaking. He worked quickly and efficiently, fixed the problem and explained everything to us in easy-to-understand terms. We were very impressed and are completely satisfied with the work done.
Broke my oven and caused a gas leak. I couldn’t contact anyone from the customer service department to get someone to come back out. Sears negligence almost KILLED me!!!! Now I have to buy an entire new oven! Requested a refund for breaking my oven and causing a gas leak, and I still cannot get in contact with anyone. Now I am without a stove and can’t cook. I DO NOT recommend!!
John was our Service Technician and did a fantastic job. Was very courteous and friendly also to our 2 dogs. Repaired our air and heating and was very informative about the repair. We would most definitely ask for John should another repair occur which we don’t anticipate. Our whole house is Sears appliances plus our air and heating. Sears is a most trusted business. The technician called to say he was on the way, and arrived within five minutes. The part he needed to replace had already arrived, and he made the repair very quickly. He was prompt, clean and efficient in his work. Overall, it was great service from Sears Home Repair.
So far, the actual repair has been completed to my satisfaction. However, part of the process was unsatisfactory to me. I did not receive a written quote or a receipt for the estimate. Credit card was charged and we were not given a receipt. I was told by a rep that I could not get one until the work was complete. If you charge a card, you should get a receipt, simple as that. The work was scheduled to be completed ten days after the diagnostic appointment. Once it was complete, I still did not receive a receipt or any info regarding the 90 day guarantee. I was told it would be emailed and I never received an email. I had to call Sears again to follow up and get one. I think this part of the process is definitely in need of improvement. Thank you.
Doug, our Sears Tech, was on time, professional and kind. It was our second time needing a repair, and it was especially nice to get Doug twice. He is very good at his job and ordered up the parts we needed. They arrived within a day or two and he returned to fix it quickly after that. I give Sears A+. So glad we got the extended warranty. I feel totally confident with Sears. Thank you.
Repair of a cracked glass range top on a Sears Elite stove, with a Protection Agreement has been a long and frustrating experience. The crack occurred during the first week of November. Sears responded promptly and sent the new part the next week. The repairmen Were knowledgeable but the part was defective. The stove was left partially assembled in anticipation of an expedited replacement part. I was then told I would have to wait for another 2.5 weeks for another replacement part. When that never arrived I had to wait another four days to get approval for stove replacement. After the approval was granted, there was another weight of a few days for authorization. Now I am waiting for final approval before they replace the stove can be ordered. It is now four weeks since the process began and we do not know when we will replace the stove and return to normal living. This is extremely poor service and I am thoroughly disappointed with the delays that Sears has imposed on what should be a simple and straightforward process. I have found Sears customer service to be Sympathetic but not helpful. I have been unable to contact management or supervisory personnel to expedite this process. I am not sure if we will have a functioning stove before 2020.
The service technician phoned early to confirm my appointment and asked if he could come earlier. This worked perfectly as I could take the rest of the day to do other things. The repair was an adjustment to the level of my new washing machine. It was accomplished in about 10 minutes. The machine no longer wobbles during the spin cycle. The technician was polite, helpful and knowledgeable!
Service Tech was superior however the Sears support CS and sub contractor was a rating or 1. It took 15 calls over 4 days to cancel one appointment and at some times it was difficult to understand the customer service rep. Also, it was discovered that the Sears Garage Door Solutions Sub contractor was out of business or just didn't answer their phones. Poor Back Room operations but the Service Tech was excellent once we were able to get in touch with someone of authority to handle the scheduling issue under the Master Protection Contract.
Service was outstanding. The Sears Technician was on schedule and thorough with the repairs he made. I requested two additional items to be checked and he resolved them both quickly. His experience and knowledge were noteworthy in considering how he completed the repairs. I greatly appreciate the service provided. Thank you. GK
