After 3 different trips by 3 different repairmen, wrong parts from the mfg listing wrong numbers, microwave is finally fixed and working fine. With the first two visits I was told to call Sears when the parts arrived at my home and get a quicker appointment than the one repairman scheduled - no earlier appointment was ever available. All repairmen were very polite, professional, and worked quickly. It would have been nice to have had the same repairman every time so problem wouldn't have had to be rehashed with each visit.
it took 75 days a 6 visits to repair fridge techs sent without parts. and no one to send complaint to it was not their department or canned answers. very frustrating for 2 and a half months. have ask for some type of response but have received nothing was also promised calls never received one. the tech did what they could but were sent without parts so you had to get them to come back wise i could give negative stars for call center spent over two hours trying to make appointment
Technician was excellent: courteous, knowledgeable. Prices for service "diagnostic fee" + labor was ridiculous! What I was lead to believe was that the "diagnostic fee" plus any parts would be the basic charge for service. I would then expect that a long service call beyond an hour would result in additional labor. I was charged a LOT of money diagnostic fee + labor for a short service call involving a $12 part! Stop calling it a "Diagnostic Fee" and perhaps more honestly call it a "Trip Charge", as it seems to have nothing to do with labor during the service call. Additionally, I did not appreciate the hard sell techniques used during every contact with Sears regarding this service call. Had I taken the bait, I would have been charged about $600/year and still have to pay the "Diagnostic Fee" for service, with a discount that doesn't amount to much compared to the ridiculous charges I had to pay without it. That said, I cannot recommend this service: The pricing is high; the hard sell of a "Service Plan" at every contact is a pain; the overall "value" is then, consequently, low. Great technician. Overpriced and hard-sell representation. 2 of 5 Stars, all for the technician.
This was the second time in 2 weeks our washer had been repaired. The first time the unit broke down again before the end of the first wash cycle. This time it broke down after 3 1/2 wash cycles. Each time we waited a minimum of 2 weeks for repair and then only get the day they will come, no approx. time just the day. I now called if for the third repair this month and was told it would a 10 day wait again. Finally some told me they could get a repair tech here in 4 days. When I ask about replacement under the extended warranty, I get a different story from everyone I talk to about what it takes to replace it. In the last few years Sears service has become slower and slower to get repairs techs here, unreliable and generally the service call center doesn't care about it.
