Very unprofessional service. Trying to get my dishwasher fixed for a couple of months now. One tech came in, accessed problem scheduled appointment to put in parts. Two weeks later another tech comes in puts in parts. Works for a couple of days, dishwasher won’t work again. Another tech comes orders new parts, two weeks later parts come in tech comes in, doesn’t seem to know what to do. Techs do not communicate with each other. And this was the last straw, schedule another appointment time between 8-12. At 1:30 they text me to reschedule another appointment. FRUSTRATION! Sears needs to improve service.Services: Dishwasher repair
When the repair man arrived the first time after we waited over a week for an appointment, he did not even get out of his van. We had construction people at work at our home and had stepped outside for just a moment, and were unable to answer his call. He did not come to the door, did not honk his horn...nothing. And then when we called him he said he could not come back less than five minutes after he left after going through multiple operators on Sears phone line. Then Sears wanted us to wait another week for an appointment. This was the week just before Thanksgiving. The actual technician that fixed the problem two days later was very knowledgeable and pleasant. But the overall experience was not. And now, just two and half weeks after the last service call, my Kenmore dishwasher's electric lock mechanism is broken. We called this morning...guess how long til they can come out? 9 days! two days before Christmas. This is terrible customer service. I will rethink buying from Sears or Kenmore products again, and I have been a loyal customer for years.
The repairman left with the washer still not functioning. I had to call back and have him return. He then discovered another problem and told me to call Sears once I had my warranty information. The problem is that when I tried to call Sears I kept being transferred to different people and having to explain my situation over and over again. No one was helpful! At one point I was disconnected from someone that seemed to be helping but didn't get a call back. I tried to call back and this time it was even more frustrating! I still haven't been able to talk to someone who can get the part ordered under warranty and schedule that repair. I've been without a working washing machine for two weeks! I will not be recommending Sears to anyone.
I found the service people to be excellent. However, I cannot say the same for the parts and accounting dept. It took 30 days to get the part after the service people ordered it. The total cost to replace the oven element was $407.41. I found that the cost for the part was $27.00 on Amazon and Sears service charge $150.00 for the same part. The rest of the $407.41 was for service call. It took to calls to complete the service. This would indicate the each service call cost $128.70. Experience is the best teacher. Do me once shame on you. Do me twice shame on me. Next time I think I will use Home Advisor.
Pretty unprofessional when I was trying to schedule an appointment for appliance repairs. Very elusive when prompted as to what I would be paying if their technician decided my dryer couldn't be repaired and laughed at me.
