Seneca Rocks Discovery Center

The people who work here are so enthusiastic about their work and it made me very happy. Well informed and friendly. Facility was awesome and up to date.

The Seneca Rocks are very beautiful. The only thing they need to do is keep the parking lot open in winter even if the visitor center is closed so people driving by in winter can go park, get a photo or two, and leave.

I love Native American culture. This discovery center is the best I have ever seen. They have more artifacts that can be seen in a day. They inform you of what they have learned about past civilizations. This and Seneca rocks or a must see in the most relaxing atmosphere,bar none.

Nice facility, offers a good view of the rocks at the back of the building. You can walk to the trail head from there, but the closest parking is actually a little north of the discovery center. If you are not interested in talking to a ranger, browsing a gift shop, or using a bathroom, then it's better to park there instead.

Excellent starting point for your hike to the viewing platform at Seneca Rocks. Two areas to park but do not forget, there is a large parking area just down the road at the trailhead. The hike to the top is on a very well maintained trail so you should have no issues getting to the top. Saw many folks doing it in tennis shoes and one in sandals. The view from the top is incredible. You can go past the viewing platform and actually get to the top of the rock if you dare. Don't forget to view the homestead when you complete your walk. One of the best I have ever seen with and especially well documented garden.
