Took my daughter who is 13 there to get silk press. Left her with the owner to run errands and my daughter has nothing but praises for Torih Michelle. We waited 5 minutes over our appointment time and she didn't want to accept a tip for her work because she was late. But it was just 5 minutes!! What a business woman!! I was impressed by her presentation, her soft spoken mannerism and customer service. I would definitely be bringing my kid here. Her hair looks healthy and smooth. The place is very clean and inviting.

Hi Torih - my last appointment has been weighing on me. And I feel the need to let you know you made me feel really bad and uncomfortable. Like, I mentioned, I understand your intention behind your comments, but the delivery was too much. When you said to me “you suck at taking care of your hair” I was almost too scared to respond to anymore of your questions because I didn’t want to continue feeling so berated. You made me feel really shamed. I apologize if I made you frustrated. That was not my intention. But I don’t deserve to pay over $100 to leave an establishment feeling inferior. I really enjoyed my first visit experience! And had high hopes that I would be a loyal client. But you made me feel unwelcome - even beyond the multiple inappropriate comments you made at the wash bowl - your whole demeanor was very standoffish and unapproachable - and you were very condescending, so I will not be back. I typically never do last minute appointments with stylists I've never met before but I'm so happy I took a chance with Torre at Sense of Style! I was able to get same-day booking and was shocked at how quick she was at giving me a whole new look. Such a sweet and stylish woman. Sense of style is just fabulous!!! I felt welcomed as soon as I walked through the door. Torih was very knowledgeable on what I needed done for my hair and talked me through how I can take care of it at home to keep it healthy. She was easy to talk to and has made me believe in getting my hair done once a month to maintain a healthier hair. I can’t wait to go back! Already thinking about making an appointment for my mother. Today was my first day with Sense of Style but it will definitely not be my last. I've had my hair relaxed for over 10 years and had been growing tired of my hair feeling dry and processed. When I walked into Sense I immediately knew I would be in good hands and feel comfortable transitioning back to natural hair. Torih is the most knowledgeable stylist I've been too and it becomes very clear that this is her passion.
