Stopped by the other day for Riesling and was given wonderful suggestions by Jason. He was both very knowledgeable of the selection and also friendly! I ended up getting one of his suggestions and it was great, like he said it would be. Would recommend this location to anyone!
The wine selection is great here. The gentleman that helped me was extremely friendly and offered many suggestions. They take measures to ensure safety during Covid19 which is always appreciated. They also have a nice selection of hard booze. Great neighborhood shop!
Exceptional selection of wines and bourbon. Rob is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and takes time to get to know the customer in order to help make a selection. The most personal shopping experience I’ve had in a wine&spirits store. Highly recommend.
The man who helped me was snobby, belittling, and was incapable of giving recommendations. When I started describing what I was looking for, mentioning I was looking for a dry red wine, he cut me off and condescendingly remarked on my specifications, making it sound like I didn’t know what I was talking about. I will no longer be shopping here and encourage others to look elsewhere for better service.
My favorite wine store in NYC, some of the best selection of wine, employees are knowledgeable and truly passionate about wine. Can’t praise them enough!
Great collection of accessible wines. All price points are represented with good/fun options. Refreshing to see
Offers a small but unique selection of wines across the globe. Was offered a glass on the way in to try. Spoke to the staff to get some recommendations and I ended up with the perfect choice. Do speak to them - they seem to enjoy giving you recommendations!
One of the best neighborhood wine stores I've seen in NYC. Carry a solid assortment of spirits too at sharp pricing. It won't beat Astor but it beats most other liquor stores you might go to
Doesn’t stand behind wine they sell. Bought an expensive vintage champagne because they were out of cold bottles of Krug. Was recommended something else, and it tasted corked. Brought it back, first person to try was unsure, second insisted it was not corked. Would not offer to take it back. I bought a different $90 bottle of wine but will discontinue going here when I have a choice. They literally and figuratively left a bad taste in my mouth.
I live near this shop and I've finally had enough. It's a shame the staff here is so condescending and rude because they actually have a decent wine selection. Never again though - I'd rather walk a block or two than deal with the pretentious staff again.
