Really disappointed. Discouraged. They make you go trough all this hoops, and ask you some very strange questions. Only to denied you. And leave you on your own. The person I dealt was cold, unpersonal. Wasted valuable time,& gas. Look at their requirements closely or get an attorney. You are better off. I am considering Legal action.
no one ever gets on the phone or returns messages. there is no way to talk to anyone there. no one calls u back or picks up on any line.i have called and left messages 4 days, i drive here friday and no one is here when it’s says they are open. and these are the people teaching and leading us in how to be professional and get career training. wow. so disappointing
The first coach I had was nice, he put the effort into doing his job and answering my questions. Unfortunately, after he left, I was given some coach who cared more about getting things done fast and in a hurry instead of actually doing things correctly. They never answer the phones so I had to go into the office on Telephone Rd. one afternoon and the front desk lady was just as uncaring and rude as so many others I've had to talk to there. It would be nice if they actually took the time to hire people who can actually do their job professionally. The job fairs are not as exciting as I thought they would be. The companies that show up don't seem to enthusiastic to be there and aren't very interactive. You walk along and just choose who you want to speak to while they just stand or sit there not really trying to get you to come over. I waited to speak to a man and woman at a table for a bank that I never heard of before. They weren't very informative or happy to even have people come up and take interest in their bank.
If i could give them 0 stars I would, I strongly advise against using the services of SERJobs. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. A staggering 88% of the career coaches fail to do their jobs effectively, often requiring you to bypass them entirely to get any assistance. You will be waiting for weeks for a simple response unless you go directly to higher-ups. This includes Jasmine, Daisy, Brisa, and many others, except for Demetrius, Amelia, Eloy, Sharonda, and Coach Mack. The few competent employees are overworked and often end up quitting due to the heavy workload. The navigator, Veronica, rarely performs her duties properly. Her job is to guide people to career coaches and services, but she frequently turns people away for trivial reasons, such as being five minutes late to orientation. She directs the front desk to refuse entry and tells people to wait weeks for another appointment. Veronica’s snobby attitude only adds to the frustration. Previous navigators have quit due to job stress, leaving clients no choice but to deal with Veronica or her subordinate, Eunice. Management is equally problematic. Chris, Tara, Nekia, and Sheroo offer little to no help. During an event, Chris made students who were at the front of the line for food move to the back so that staff could eat first, despite the students waiting in the heat. When students refused, Chris sent a company-wide email banning the practice. Tara, the head of HR, makes empty promises about employment and then ghosts you or gives you the runaround when you follow up. No one ever answers the phone when you call, adding to the frustration. People often travel from various parts of the city, either by bus or driving long distances, only to make blank trips because they can’t get what they came for or couldn’t get ahold of someone on the phone. You can expect to get the runaround 90% of the time when you’re trying to inquire about getting your support services gas cards, bus cards, or gift cards. No one ever has an answer and always tries to place the blame on someone else rather than trying to remedy the situations or problems. Overall, this company is a nightmare. SERJobs is a waste of time and energy. I encourage you to look elsewhere for your career support needs.
I’ve only had the nightmare of dealing with career coach Ruth Love. She is so unpleasant to work with. She is rude and judgemental. She put me down so many times in so many ways telling me I need help. Ma’am what do you think I am contacting SERJobs for!??? She puts her personal opinion before her job. She is strict and cold. She seems like she doesn’t want to help people. She enjoys the obstacles and May place more in front of someone trying to succeed. Maybe if she were more kind and not so ruthless people may have a better experience with her. She had nothing nice to say, zero positive feedback. Because of this lady I will tell everyone SERjobs is horrible. I did so much to try and get into the program and none of it was good enough for her. I jumped thru hoops and I completed every task she asked of me. And after all she still didn’t let me enter the program. So discouraged! Ruth Love, your attitude sucks!
They do not answer their phones or emails at all here. They are a total disgrace for a company. People are trying to get assistance and help but every time you call they never answer LITERALLY. There is literally no excuse for why these employees that work there are not picking up their phone. this is totally a inconvenience and this is careless behavior from socalled professionals. Response to the Owner: The audacity "I don't like your attitude" I don't like your attitude either. People are needing help and we can't get nobody on the phone. The upper management will be hearing about this.
6 weeks of unpaid training from 9am -4pm to possibly get an apprenticeship as a non-union electrician. Maybe they're great for other things, but I would have preffered to be told this program will require thousands of dollars in savings to support yourself before acquiring the apprenticeship.
The staff that specializes in assisting Veterans are some of the most genuine, thoughtful, intelligent, and extremely hard-working people I've ever seen. The compassion and positive energy they carry with them, has no choice but to envelope you as well.
If you can GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This place was recommended to probationers as a way to get a better job. I completed the Electrician training which was very introductory and received a good tool set, but as for JOBS and the certificate showing you completed the program? You’re SOL. I called and asked about a certificate we need to apply for jobs on the BUILDFORCE app they recommended and was told that it could take 3 MONTHS. I was already out of a job just to attend the classes!!
They don’t help veterans or civilians.
