Shanghai Jazz

Came here for dinner and had a great time. Live Jazz music, great food that was unique and tasty. We had personalized service and the new owner came by to greet us and made great suggestions for food and drinks. Place was clean, upbeat, fun and an all around great time. It can get crowded on the weekend so plan accordingly. Food is really remarkable and yummy. Free parking in back. They serve alcoholic beverages too! Service was impeccable!!!

Great music and excellent food which is 5 star quality. Owner Thomas greeted everyone after the show which I thought was awesome and gave off great vibes. The entire evening was excellent. The band gave us a little extra since it was the last show. It was a Stevie Wonder tribute which was wonderful. I will definitely visit again!

Shanghai Jazz is the premiere place for classic Blues and Jazz in New Jersey! The ambience is intimate, the staff is efficient and graciously accomodating.Our party was pleased with their appetizers, entrees, cocktails and selected German Riesling. A photo op with the guitarist and a friendly conversation with knowledgeable diners made for a delightful evening.

Outstanding live jazz in a great-date, and family-friendly restaurant. This has become a go-to for any special occasion in the family - I love that the teens can come here with us too for dinner and some good music. It’s a class act every time, from top to bottom. (Per-person minimum, no cover charge; full menu and bar available.)

Food and music we're both excellent. The service was a bit slow and since we were at the 8:30 seating and weren't actually seated until close to 9:00, we had no food in front of us until close to 10. Luckily I wasn't ravenous when I arrived, but I definitely was by the time the food arrived. I've been the the early seating and never had this issue. Not everyone's service was as slow as ours, but if you are prepared to have a very casual relationship with your dinner in terms of timing, everything else is always awesome here.
