The Shaolin Kung fu Institute was established in 1972, in Hightstown NJ, by Shifu Rex W. McCoy PhD a personal student under the Grandmaster of our system, Grandmaster Chen. We also offer over 26 customized courses from traditional Northern and Southern Lion Dancing, Kids in Kung fu, Yang style Taiji, Qigong, The 7 Military Classics of Ancient China (of which Sun Tzu is one) and Legal Implications of Self-defense just to name a few.
All branch locations and Instructors are personally trained, certified, and licensed under the Shaolin Kung fu Institutes Instructional Staff Training Program under the direct instruction and guidance of Chief Instructor, Shifu Rex W. McCoy PhD.
The Shaolin Kung fu Institute prides itself in teaching the traditional skills and techniques of the Northern Dragon kung fu style in an unbroken line of successors to the founder of our system, Great Grandmaster Mu, Shou Feng in the 1300's.
Northern Dragon kung fu is a very effective self-defense system, we do not teach tournament non sense, ineffective and dangerous theatrics, flash or tricking type skills. We teach self-defense, we practice kung fu.
