I was so excited to see the mini sessions offered by Sharyn on one of her emails. I booked one and was happy to finally have the professional photos I’ve been wanting since my son was born. We went through the process and I loved how Sharyn asked what we wanted to capture and how natural the process was. We had a blast during the session and it was quick enough that there were no tantrums from any of us !. When it came time to get our photos, we were DELIGHTED to see how the came out! They are the most beautiful photos we have ever had taken of our family! I was instantly in love and felt our family vibe had been captured. I am glad I did not realize the cost for the photos beforehand because I am worried I would not have gone ahead with them at this time in our lives. Once I saw those photos they were instantly became our priority for that month! Her work is MORE THAN worth the price. These photos have given our family so much joy and warmth I can’t even tell you! We have 4 beautiful framed photos on our walls that show exactly what Sharyn set out to capture, our playfulness , joy and love for one another. I also made a book out of all the photos and it’s become my affirmation book I flip through when I need a reminder of all the love we have in our family. I am even having fun making a Christmas card, something I never thought I would be into but I just want to spread the good art energy around to loved ones. THANK YOU Sharyn and to anyone who is considering prioritizing this purchase, I can not recommend it and Sharyns work enough for so many reasons. This art has changed the energy of our home and I am so excited to work with her in the future to keep capturing what I know we have but need reminders of everyday!
It is with great pleasure that I write a review for Sharyn Peavey Photography. Sharyn has taken family photos of my family twice now, and both times she truly captured the spirit of our children and our family. The finished products are nothing short of amazing, bright, vivid, joyful, and visually stunning. From the moment you contact Sharyn to schedule a photo shoot you notice her professional demeanor and willingness to make the experience 100% pleasurable. She is timely in her response and works with your schedule to accommodate your needs. Sharyn has a knack of knowing locations and the best times during the day/evening to shoot. The shoot itself is a blast! She engages the children with her wonderful charisma, and truly captures their spirit and individual personalities. I have found photo sessions with Sharyn to be completely natural, rather than posed and staged. She knows exactly how to catch you at your best! I was impressed at how quickly Sharyn was able to share our gallery of pictures with us. We were stunned to see such amazing photographs after our first session with Sharyn a few years ago, therefore years later when we needed updated pictures, we knew Sharyn was who we would chose to do this for us. Sharyn is kind, punctual, professional, hard working, and truly gifted. I highly recommend Sharyn for any of your photo needs whether it be family portraits, baby shoots, weddings, and more. You will be equally as please as I am!
Sharyn is awesome. Totally worth the money for our wedding photographer! She is down to earth, easy going and so friendly. Sharyn totally was the glue on a crazy day - she was a fabulous support and took amazing photos. Her assistant Laura even went out in a boat to get photos of us on the dock, and we frolicked on a lobster boat after sunset for some beautiful shots! We ended up with over 2,000 stunning photographs and everyone is delighted. I can’t recommend Sharyn enough and hope some day I’ll find another great life event for her to photograph!
I first met Sharyn when I was looking for a wedding photographer 16 years ago. From the moment she and I spoke on the phone, I liked her laidback personality and knew we would click. We booked her for our wedding and scheduled an engagement shoot with her so we could get to know each other before our big day. Our engagement pics were beautiful - candid, casual, laidback and reflected our personalities. And Sharyn made the whole process so easy. Our wedding day was the same - Sharyn captured beautiful photos of our day all while staying in the background. She has an incredible eye for capturing the feeling of the moment, which you can feel in all her images. Since then Sharyn has taken pregnancy photos of both my pregnancies, numerous family photos over the years and was even in the hospital room with me and my husband capturing our oldest son's birth - that is how much we trust Sharyn. Now that my boys are growing up, I'm even more thankful for all the beautiful images she has captured of my boys and our family over the years. They are truly gifts to be treasured and we feel so very thankful to not only call Sharyn our family photographer but a true friend.
Sharyn captured both my wedding as well as a family shoot seven years later which included my children. She is sensitive about capturing all iterations of families, my husband’s parents are divorced and she made sure to take photos that included everyone as well as more personalised photos that my in-laws could display without the former spouse in the photo. Sharyn is literally willing to lie down on the ground to get the right angle for a photo. She is kind, great with kids and has helped us capture memories which will last forever thanks to her efforts.
We have used Sharyn several times since our son was born. The pictures are always incredible - the hardest part is choosing just a few to frame! She is fantastic at making everyone feel comfortable - kids, husbands, etc, and very helpful picking products while not being pushy. Photos make the best gifts for family and yourselves!
Sharyn is incredibly talented! She has been photographing my family's milestones for over a decade. I can't say enough about how she has captured the most beautiful images for us. Memories for a lifetime! I highly recommend Sharyn!!
I loved working with Shayrn Peavey and would highly recommend her services. She photographed my family and I also worked on a professional photo shoot with her. She has more energy than any other photographer I have met and will go the distance to capture the moment. It is apparent Sharyn loves what she does – I watched her work all day and her passion was still flowing well into the evening as she gained inspiration from her clients and the task at hand. Sharyn was awesome with my two small children and the pictures she took of them and my husband are now family heirlooms.
My sister-in-law had Sharyn photograph her wedding 6 years ago and she was so happy with the photos that she insisted we get Sharyn back for our wedding. We couldn't be happier with the results. Sharyn and her assistant Alyssa were friendly, professional, and fun to work with. It felt like having a good friend there to capture the day. They were never obtrusive - most of the time we didn't even notice that they were there - but they somehow captured all of the big moments perfectly. Her photographs really captured the personalities of us and all of our guests. The photos look organic and we couldn't be happier with them. We were so lucky to have Sharyn and Matt photograph our wedding in Franklin, Maine last August. Sharyn and Matt put in a lot of ground work in with us before the wedding so that when the day came it felt so natural to have them there as an extension of the guest list, who also took fantastic photos!!! Sharyn made the most of our property in Maine and found beautiful places for shots that we couldn't have imagined were possible. She even went as far as to sneak us out of the reception for our most favorite photo of the day in the Maine twilight. We 100% recommend Sharyn Peavey Photography.
