Good quality paint, but the sales associate who has worked the last two weekend, she is mean and condescending, makes me not want to go in again.
I had two separate encounters with sales associates that work at this location that were very rude and have no customer service skills what so ever. The woman rushed us to make a purchase without listening to what project was being worked on and her reply to a general question about the amount of paint needed was "Would you like to do my job?" Completely uncalled for and inappropriate thing to say to customers! Being short staffed is no reason for unapologetically bad service.
Really knowledgeable salesperson who helped me get everything I needed for a DIY project. He answered all my questions and informed me of things I didn't know. My project turned out perfect with only the one trip to the store! That's a win.
Jason was extremely professional and helpful. Even though I am a complete beginner in home improvement, he patiently answered all my questions and made sure I found all that I needed. I love my new accent wall. Thanks so much!
Jay, who assisted me was very helpful and knowledgeable. He ordered components needed to mix a color I selected that were not in the store; they arrived as anticipated and my color was mixed. I was able to make excellent use of coupons which made my purchase very reasonable. In addition, I only needed a small quantity of paint which S.W. sells in quarts, unlike its competitors who sell gallons only.
[EDIT]: I am pleasantly surprised by the customer service response to my original review below, and am amending my statement & rating in light of this after-experience. After following up with the customer service rep below, I was personally reached out to by SW's NY's district manager, Brandon Penland. He was kind enough to offer a phone call to discuss my experience and what changes could be implemented to improve in-store experiences and retain me as a customer. I super appreciated the gesture and was able to place my original order. I'll consider going back to this store for future projects; the experience definitely changed my opinion of the company : -------------------------------- Why I won't be back message for mgmt: I've been a customer for years, made a loyalty account last year, and have spent thousands of dollars on paint over those years. Went in today 8/10 to buy some paint for a small & cheap project. After I selected my color, I went to the rep *redacted and asked for the cheapest flat-sheen paint they had in a quart or gallon size. [Redacted] proceeds to pull Emerald in a quart size off the shelf and tell me this is the cheapest paint aside from their samples. I didn't bother to let him know that that I knew that Emerald is the most expensive line per oz. At ~$22 a quart, a good rep, knowing the circumstances of my project should've recommended a gallon of Captivate or literally any other line which is 4 bucks more for an *entire* gallon. And no, there wasn't a stock shortage -- I checked out what they had when I first walked in. At this point I asked if I could purchase two sample sizes instead, and after looking at his stock of 6 tells me he can only sell me one. I informed him that the last week I purchased 3 samples when there were also only 6 with no problem, and so he lies and tells me this is a store policy and shrugs. Considering I've purchased many multiples of samples from SW in the past, I think it's bs. I have also never had a store tell me they can't sell me the product they have in stock, because of possible demand with other potential customers aside from tp or sanitizer lately. Super weird and uncomfortable interaction overall. Feeling like I was being cheated out on price, and then fed a bullsh*t line about store policy so he could save face. First interaction with [redacted], I'm sure he's an okay guy, but needs a training on customer service. Won't be back and will bike over to a different paint store for this project and for others. ----------------------------------------- If you want to still go...What I like about this store: - Of the reps I've encountered, they give you space to explore the color cards at your leisure and don't hover. - It's a few blocks from where I live and I believe one of the only paint stores on the west side vs. F&B or BM on the east. - Good hours, open on time - Always have the line, sheen, and size container that I want - Cashiers always have the coupon codes ready to scan if you forget - They'll happily look up your past purchases in case you forget a paint color name which I do all of the time
Upon moving into my new apartment, I knew I needed to repaint. I went into the Sherwin Williams and was immediately greeted by the Store Manager Vanessa. She was so helpful in helping me chose the right color and paint for my walls! I will definitely go back to this store for all my painting needs. Make sure you ask for Vanessa she's the best!
Great service and selection. Whomever manages or works most of the hours is super helpful.
Great store - open on Sundays! Amazing sales associate, I was helped very quickly by a kind sales rep who helped make sure I had everything I needed.
Extremely helpful sale rep over the phone. Order filled within minutes. At the store curbside pickup, rep brought out order almost immediately. Will use them in the future.
