I make handmade viola da gamba family instruments based on originals with researched and historically accurate making methods and decorations.

Story

I make following traditional methods, having studied and researched viol construction while at West Dean College under the tuition of Shem Mackey and Benjamin Hebbert, continuing beyond by visiting collections and museums. I work on commission, with a sound adjustment service available as well. I work one-on-one with my clients to make them a great sounding and aesthetically pleasing viol similar to surviving original viols of the 16th-18th centuries.
