A fun and unique experience, beautiful beach and we saw plenty of dolphins quite close to shore. However, the bathrooms were disgusting and be wary of the hot sand and boardwalk if barefoot or bringing a dog. Before visiting, remember sunscreen and bug spray, and make plans to bring your own umbrellas and chairs or have money to rent them as there is not much shade. The boat ride was pleasant despite a bunch of kids running rampant and pushing people. You can pick wherever you want to sit which provides great sightseeing opportunities.

Actually went to Jones Park to walk through the amazing Christmas light display, rather than taking the ferry. Highly recommend the light show. I've seen many in various parts of the world. This was the best I've seen in the United States.

A nice 50 minute boat ride to a slightly historical island. Very family friendly and super reasonable concessions. Take a short hike and see crabs, stingrays, and black sand! Shelling was not nearly as productive as touted, mostly broken. It is nice to have different time options to arrive and leave. Make sure you bring walking shoes, the boardwalk is long and hot!! I saw a couple of people attempting the jaunt in bare feet... unsuccessfully.
The fort is pretty cool, but beware the mosquitoes around the cisterns.... you have been warned.
Slightly pricey. Bring your own umbrella, snacks and chairs if you'd like to save a few bucks.

At least once a year we go here. Fun for families with access to the best beach in Mississippi. Clean beach with some wildlife.
