If I could do a -5 review believe me I would. Let me tell you of my experience thus far. I'm not sure what happened to ShredIt but obviously some SERIOUS changes need to be made. I had used ShredIt over the years for purging documents in my office. I scheduled a purge for December 6, 2022 and had all of my boxes sitting in the entry way of my office ready for them to arrive. The truck never showed and I called my account manager who originally helped me schedule. He didn't know why they never showed but apologized. As the boxes were sitting in my entryway I asked for them to reschedule by end of the week, no communication. I received an email stating I was rescheduled for the 13th and sent back an email letting them know that day did not work for me. Had a client event that had been scheduled for months No response. I received another companies reschedule and let them know that wasn't me. On December 18th I received a bill for $379.16 for services on the 16th. I immediately contacted my account manager asking why I am receiving a bill as the service was never done, no response. I subsequently received 3 more bills now stating overdue and would be sent to collections. No response from my account manager. Contacted customer service and billing 3 times and was told my account would be noted and a dispute sent in letting them know why. No response, 3 emails and no response. Received 2 overdue collection bills in a 1/2 hour time frame today letting me know to respond to email with disputes which I did then received emails letting me know those emails were not monitored. Contacted customer service again twice and individual told me no notes were ever made on my account even from the phone call earlier in the day except for an original one in December and that they would credit account but it would take 3 days. To say I am EXTREMELY disappointed in how this company is run is an understatement. The sheer amount of time I have spent on the phone and writing emails with little to no response is baffling. As a business owner I could not imagine running my business or treating my customers this way. I will be letting every single one of my colleagues know about this experience. I suggest you go elsewhere for your shredding needs. In the Denver area there are other companies that certainly do not operate this way and treat their customers the way they should be treated.
Have called multiple times to cancel our service with no luck! They refuse to cancel our service and keep sending invoices. We have canceled pick-ups but somehow my request never gets processed. I have called multiple times and even get hung up on. SO FRUSTRATING! Do better Shred it.
Have scheduled a pick of our shredding and there has been 2 dates they have been scheduled and have not showed up to either of those appoints yet. Can only call a customer service number and can not reach the servicing location to get any information. Do not recommend their services.
This company does not deserve 1 star. I have battled a charge with them since October 2021 that I paid and they double charged me. Their customer service support is awful and you get the same excuse every time e.g., it takes one to two business cycles to occur.You can NEVER speak with someone that can actually rectify a situation. It is the most frustrating company I have EVER dealt with and I do not know how they are still in business. Stay CLEAR of this company and NOT use.
ZERO STARS! I don't even believe the Denver branch is even in business anymore. We've called and emailed SOOOOOOOO many times - and like others here are getting no where. We are looking for a NEW company to work with. It's a shame because this WAS such a great service. that we had contracted with for years and years.
Called on May 18th. They assured me they would pick up and shred on May 23rd. It is late on May 24th and not sign of the truck, no email, no phone call, no correspondence whatsoever. This is not good customer service. You must stay in contact with your clients to let them know what is going on. I spoke to a very sweet CS Rep and she agreed with me. Apologetic and she said she would try to get a reschedule soon but it will most likely take another week. Unacceptable. She said she will file a formal complaint for me and I told her to do so. Now watch, I will get the same canned response everyone gets which means nothing to anyone. Now I have taken a half hour or more out of my day to try to figure out why some other company that I have a contract with cannot do their job.
Shred-it has failed to show up on the appointed day 3 times now. My office has not received a phone call, email, or any other type of communication. They have cost my organization valuable time and money waiting on them. On the other hand, the people you can get in contact with, customer service, have really attempted to help, but the Denver branch won’t even answer their phone calls so it is pointless. I have seldom dealt with a company that is so unresponsive, unprofessional and uncaring about their customers. The Denver branch has even tried to bill us for the last two missed appointments. I’m sure they will for this one as well. Whew!! I’m out!! P.S. shred-it, please don’t bother with the usual “we’re sorry and want to help” nonsense.
THEY DID NOT SHOW UP to pick up our HIPPA protected documents even though we made it clear this had to be done by May 27 as we were moving the office! It is now nine days later and they have literally just abandoned us along with their bin. We now have to rent a vehicle large enough to fit their bin inside and we will take it to their facility ourselves. Otherwise, all of our HIPPA protected documents will end up at the curb with the normal trash. They literally just abandoned our stuff. This is the most unprofessional, irresponsible company out there. You will deeply regret using them. They have opened themselves up to litigation and violated professional standards and ethics, not to mention our trust in the company. THE WORST NIGHTMARE ONE COULD EXPECT WITH A SHREDDING COMPANY
SHRED IT WAS A NO SHOW ON THE LAST 2 MONTHLY PICK UPS. WE CALLED TO RESCHEDULE 2 additional MAKE UP DATES IN WHICH THEY WERE ALSO A NO SHOW. They said they would email us to let us know when they were coming next. They never emailed us and then showed up one day that we were not at the office to let them in AND THEY BILLED US. WE HAVE CALLED THEM AT LEAST 20 TIMES TO RESOLVE THESE ISSUES WITH NO HELP FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF. WE HAVE tried to cancel the SERVICE.but can’t even get an account specialist to return our call.
Tonight was great! Food was great but a huge part of our experience was the fantastic service from Samuel!!!
