Wonderful no-kill shelter where you can find your best friend. There are rooms to interact with the cats and little outdoor enclosures for the kitties. I got my new best bud there! Also, the staff is super friendly, and thorough with their adoption applications so as to make sure the babies get the homes they deserve. Thank you for everything you do!
My fiancé and I chose to adopt a cat together through SICSA and we are so happy with our experience. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and allowed us to meet as many animals as we wanted until we decided which one would be ours. They have continued to follow up with us, making sure that both my fiancé and I and our new fur baby are adjusting well. Thank you SICSA for giving us Alice and making our adoption process so wonderful!
You get paired with an adoption counselor here and they work hard to pair you with an animal that is a good fit for you and your family. It kinda feels like a preschool for animals. This place is so much better than any shelter I have gone to. They clearly care and have a full and knowledgeable staff who all clearly care about the animals as well as the people looking to adopt. I went to a county shelter before ending up here and it was a night-and-day difference.
Took good care of both my dogs. Really reasonable prices considering what a veterinarian is going to charge. Don't believe me compare the prices your self. They have a great system and they are great at what they do. Thanks guys.
I asked about adoption and a staff member glared at me. So, I told them I would go to the humane society instead and they just said, “okay.”
Very nice, well kept facility. I'm very grateful that when I was in between jobs I could go here and get assistance with dog food so my dogs would be able to eat. Times are tough sometimes and I'm glad SICSA helped when I was in great need.
Absolutely wonderful place with great people. Zandra and Bethany are top notch! The services are terrific for your pets and those helping community animals. Support them in any way you can.
The one star isn’t for Sicsa itself, but my experience there. I went to look at cats today. 10/14/22. You have a volunteer in Kitty City that would NOT leave me and my spouse alone. Basically breathing down our necks and making us uncomfortable. We would go in one of the rooms with the cats and she would follow us and stand right in front of the door to where we couldn’t even get out without telling her we wanted out. I am NOT the first person to experience this with her. She has blondish/brown hair and was kind of young I guess. She wore leggings today. She said she followed people because she “doesn’t want the cats over stimulated”. Okay? We are 30 years old. Not children. We won’t “over stimulate” the cats by simply looking at them or sitting on a bench with them. PLEASE remove her and make people feel comfortable coming here again. Put her somewhere where she does not deal with potential adopters. We left because of it and didn’t even get to spend time with the cats. I posted about this on Facebook and several people have had the same experience with the same girl.
Took Fred in today to get neutered. I thought the process was really easy and the people behind the desk were very caring and informative. Price was half the cost my vet quoted.
This place is a very clean place for the cats and dogs! And the staff are nice and helpful. I adopted a puppy recently and plan to go back very soon. If your looking for a good place to adopt a dog or cat come to SICSA
