Great Chinese food in Brooklyn.. Professional staff working here and very good service. . . Decorate is traditionally and colorful . Been around for more then 60 years. Can't be bad and last that long. Food it was good… Prices is fairly!

Superb value overall, especially the combination dinners. Very friendly waitstaff and receptionist. Dine-in exclusively by reservation. Narrow bathroom, but clean. Knives need to be supplied with the utensils since eating ribs on the bone and cutting egg rolls is difficult using a fork alone. Nice decorations exhibiting scenery and artwork from China.

Edit : Had dinner service last night and food was outright amazing and their customer service is top notch! A gem in Bensonhurst Brooklyn! Wait staff are like family and they serve you with respect!

I Love Silver Star food & all the staff we consider our friends. We have been coming here since I was a teen & my husband since he was young with his parents. Great family place & great authentic food.

I've been coming here since my mother who took me here as a kid. I'm in my mid forties now and still come here to this day with my family. Will and Mike are the best and I feel like family around them. The food is great and affordable it has the real old school Chinese restaurant ambiance. This is one of Brooklyns gems. Silver star rocks....

One of the best Chinese food restaurants around Bensonhurst & Dyker Heights that's still open. They have been serving good food since 1944 and hopefully they will stay open for a long time. If you like chicken & broccoli, or beef & broccoli, fried rice, fried wontons, egg rolls or even dipping fried noodles in their homemade duck sauce this is the place to go. Seriously stop reading my comment and grab some food lmaooo :

Best Chinese food in Brooklyn.. heck maybe all of nyc. Been around for more then 60 years. Can't be bad and last that long. I don't know if they are doing in door dining but if you can order and either pick up or deliver.. do it. Food tastes great. Price is good, up a little since covid, but worth it. Best egg rolls EVER. If you do call in And it sounds crazy busy.. that's a good thing.. the busier they are the better the food tastes. Great.. now I want egg rolls and a happy ending...Mmmmm happy ending

The food was NOT fresh. The fried chicken wings were not fried, they looked boiled and was surrounded in liquid. The dumplings had strange red meat and it smelled like dog food from a can. The rice was flavorless and the general Tso chicken was fried something, no chicken in the pieces. We had to throw away all of it after taking a bite. A WASTE of $30. Im not sure how this restaurant has 4.5 stars. Will not be ordering again.
