Silver State Plastics

I needed a piece of acrylic. I called a couple of places around town (Sparks/Reno). First couple of places said they have to order what I wanted. I called Silver State Plastics. They had what I wanted. They can custom cut. I could pick it up in the morning. They are 1.2 miles from my work location. The quoted price was lower than the other places I talked to. I ordered it. Went to pick it up at lunch time. They couldn't find it. The person I ordered from was at lunch. Okay, I said I'll call back. When I got back to my office there was a message waiting for me. They found my order. They apologized for the confusion. I went back and picked it up. So I had my plastic in time for the weekend project! I also noticed a wall full of "drop" cuts, left over from other jobs. I think will go visit Silver State Plastics when planning my next project. Almost perfect. 4 stars.

-5 would probably be a more accurate rating. They got my order completely wrong and when I pointed out that it was the wrong material they tried to convince me that it was the material I ordered. After about an hour of pointing out the obvious, I convinced them to call their supplier - where they found they sent the wrong material. I ended up giving them another try and asked to reorder some pieces that I had ordered 6 months prior that were priced at a $1.41 each and raised the price to $5.50 for the same product. I found the company to be very unprofessional and unorganized overall.
