SIU Center for Family Medicine - Decatur

I've been going here for many years. I'm grateful for this clinic and its associated offices, specialty clinic. I am treated well by staff and am able to get appointments, phone responses by nurses, doctors and staff who usually return calls and messages within 48 hrs. The on-call after hours residents are very helpful.

Can't get anyone to answer the phone, but they definitely bill your insurance to collect money. Left tons of messages. Called back over and over. Told multiple people there I was having problems contacting billing and nothing was ever done. Don't waste your time here. Impossible to talk to a human being on the phone and get a concern resolved.

Horribly unprofessional. Allowed me to schedule an appointment I according to them shouldn’t have been allowed to make, let me confirm the appointment and take a day off of work drastically upsetting the nonverbal lifeskills children I teach only to cancel it the night before, right before they closed, with no warning and no advice on what to do.

My husband and I had our 1st PCP visit with Dr. Sheth Dutt and it was all good. She was very approachable and professional. She took the time to listen to our concerns and everything was done in a timely manner. Will definitely have our kids be seen by her soon.

In the beginning SIU was good as of late it is horrible. I have COPD and am out of the inhaler prescribed to me by one of their residents. The inhaler was great. Walgreens called me, not SIU, to tell me the funding for that medication was out and they were waiting on a call from SIU to see if they could further prescribe the med. I called SIU about 3 weeks ago telling them to prescribe me something else because I'm out. I spoke the nurse and she was VERY RUDE. She argued with me while I'm in pain. Never go to SIU.

The one star only because I had too. Been going to this place for years just ran out of a migraine medicine I've been on for 10 years or longer they refused to refill it until they have seen me. See me for what????? To check my height and weight blood pressure told me to go to the emergency room for my migraine.i just don't understand no I haven't been seen in 3yrs which 2 of those was during the covid pandemic but i haven't needed to be seen..

They call you back within minutes after your arrival. The doctors are very thorough and if any prescriptions are needed, they call them to your pharmacy right away. I liked them better than my last clinic, crossing healthcare.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! INCOMPETENT!! Go to Springfield if you have to deal with SIU. They won't reschedule you without calling you like Decatur does.

Tracy Lewis is one of the best primary care doctors I’ve had. I have pages of health problems and she was the only doctor that was thorough with testing and got me on the right path to better health. Thank you!

You finally get a doctor you like and boom, they are gone, kaput, Shazam, in a puff of smoke. Then you are assigned to a new bONE.
