Skip really did everything as promised and then some. He did everything in a timely manner and got my boat fixed before promised. Very reliable and knowledgeable. I am all about customer satisfaction and I am truly satisfied with the work and service provided. I will continue to get my boat serviced and maintained by Skips. Thank you again and the family is extremely happy making many memories back out on the lakes.
Drove from mid coast Maine to Skips Marine to purchase the boat I was looking for. It was just how Skip described it. Skip went above and beyond and was fantastic to deal with! Great guy and super service. Definitely worth the drive. Thanks Skip and crew!!
Skip and his crew saved our weekend a couple weeks back. We had a diode blow on our outboard...Bass Pro said it would be about an hour job and they wouldn’t be able to get to it until the next week. The guy seemed annoyed that I even brought it in to get looked at, after I was told to do so. So I bought the part, brought it to Skip, and his mechanic had it swapped out in UNDER 3 MINUTES. I’ll never go anywhere else!!!
Paid skip over $1200 to replace a starter in a mercruiser 350. He quoted 350 and said he had a guy who rebuilt them and repainted etc like brand new. He calls me some time later to say the boat still won’t start. So I came and picked the boat up covered for the winter with the “ new starter” after uncovering it and starting my trouble shooting I look at the old rusty starter right where I left it. I got charged for no work whatsoever. I don’t mind paying for work performed but getting ripped off, that’s another story.
Complete Morons...Stay away. Brought my fishing boat to have the OB motor water pump replaced on my Honda 50HP. They charged labor twice because their tech was too stupid to check the impeller housing when he had it apart the first time. Charge: $450 for what is normally a $200 service. Adding insult to injury, the dopes did not tighten the shift linkage connector or my trolling plate which they had to remove to do the repairs. Long story short, first trip out got stuck on Sunapee without the ability to shift the boat out of neutral. This guy has been sued numerous times and I suppose I will add my name to the growing list. Anyone is better IMHO!!!!
I picked up my boat today with what I thought was a fair price. Skips marine has been nothing but helpful to me. Maybe the other reviews just caught him on a bad day

Very rude, after being told my boat would be looked at, 2 and a half weeks later was still not looked at. When I called to ask about it he was very rude and made personal comments about my family. Very unprofessional. Do not waste your time. Picking up my boat to bring it somewhere else.
Steer clear of this place. Inconsistent service quality and a big line of BS! Boat came back to me filthy dirty from service personnel, scratches on the side of the boat from shrink wrap process. They always deny they had anything to do with it.NegativePunctuality, Quality
Great guy! Service was good I ordered a few parts and he got what I needed fast and at a reasonable price the free knowledge that I got was out of this world.
