These spices will make mediocre recipes and make them fantastic. I live in Connecticut and ended up ordering Cardamom. I actually said out loud “THAT’S what it’s suppose to taste like?!” when I tried it.

Nicely curated spice store. They carry a large variety of different spices and salts as well as different types of containers. The staff is very friendly and will allow you to taste the spices before buying. Worth a stop when in the neighborhood.

Soooo many delicious smells and flavors. Lovely spice shop from local producers. If visiting Portland, ME and you like to cook please do yourself a favor and stop by to get wowed. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Layout is hassle free, and there is a great assortment, also cooking books and other misc items.

Heidi was great! She helped me find both what I needed and helped me find some ideas for recipes in the future. I love how you can smell the spices, and just how minimalist the store is! I bought some Mushrooms, spices, bitters, and a cook book!

Beautiful store with an impressive selection of freshly ground and expertly sourced spices and mixed for all occasions. You can not go wrong with anything here! Skordo means Garlic in Greek, but that doesn't even break the tip of the iceberg of their selection!! Visit when you're in Portland, and i guarantee you'll have a new "spice guy" for life! If you love cooking, this shop is a MUST DO in Portland. We randomly stopped in two years ago and were treated to the best customer service ever. We got to try some blends and I was even recommended the perfect cookbook. We went home with a few things but our absolute favorite is the Maple Salmon Rub. I have been loyally ordering this rub online before I can run out for the past two years plus other fun blends to try. Skordo's stuff is top notch quality. This is how you do business.

Wide selection of spices ,herbs and sauces.Also probably the best costumer service I’ve ever had.The Sales Clerk was very nice and knowledgeable.

This is a very nice little store that carries all types of spices and recipe books as well as some kitchen tools. The woman working was very nice and really knew her stuff about all the different spices. They even have prepackaged spices to make entire meals we got the rogan josh and can't wait to try it.

This is shop is a GEM to MAINE! In addition, the staff was so helpful in providing excellent services. I am disappointed at myself because I cannot the lady'sand gentleman's names.. thank you

I’ve been several times. I’ve gone for myself, for gifts, and every time one of the sisters who owns it gives me the best advice on things to buy and try! The customer service is half the reason I come back over and over, the other being the awesome spices they have! Super unique, really high quality spices that are terrific for trying new foods and cultures. Would recommend to a friend 10 out of 10 times.
