Showed up with my son in the middle of the day before like 3 and the host asked for an ID for both us. I had mine but my son doesn't have an ID. Host started with an attitude and said she'll do us a FAVOR and "allow" us to play but next time he better have an ID. Last I checked policy states anyone under 18 are allowed as long as accompanied. EDUCATE your hostess and have them lose the ego trip pls.
Had been here a few times in the past and the experience was okay. The last time I went, I forgot to physically bring my ID and was turned around at the door by a member of their staff and one of the managers, even after showing them a photo of my ID that clearly showed I was born in the 80s. I even said I just came to play pool and won’t buy a drink if they would let me stay but they were stern and made me leave, it was extremely humiliating. They staff need to be much better trained and courteous. Had been going there for a few years before this experience, but will never step foot there again I’d rather drive an additional two miles to get to another pool hall with decent trained staff. Would’ve given zero stars if possible
The atmosphere is nice and so is the staff. I don't see a need to check everyone IDs especially 50 and 60 year olds. I went two times in one week. If you go on a Tuesdays , be ready for tournament folks
Stopped in on a Friday night around 930. We got a table pretty quick. The staff was really friendly and fast. It's the closest poolhall near downtown which I was just happy to find one. It was 16$ and hour to play which was kind of steep but the tables are well matained and as well as the equipment. I truly did enjoy myself and would certainly stop in again.
You know the vibes. Plus the staff is super attractive. 10/10
Pretty much only staying open because it has no competition inside the loop. Building is run down and the carpet is moldy. When you order a coke, it comes out flat. They charge you something like 5 dollars for it, and it doesn't come with refills. I've been going there for nearly a decade and the decline is drastic. I'm disappointed that there isn't a another serious pool hall inside Houston. I'm going to have to find another hobby, because I really don't want to go back here anymore. The tables are in decent shape though. Most of the staff are really cool. With exceptions to both.
I'm veteran of the United States Military, presented my VA identification and was refused service. It was myself, my senior citizen father, and brother. The woman ignored us and helped other patrons. This was a terrible experience and I'm pursuing legal action.
First I forgot my ID expired Manger said " you ain't getting anywhere in life with a expired ID. Smh like sorry sir. Then got a water at the bar and waiter got mad like the vibes where way off at this slick Willie's.
Sky peak is way better. It's good when I'm the area but not worth the drive out of the way. Also the jukebox is terrible.
Pricey no split rates on tables with multiple people playing and over priced drinks; little parking; sub par service; poor quality pool balls; the 2 tables left of the bar placed too closely together although there is plenty of room; more of a date night pool hall vs a pool player's pool hall. Redeeming factors are the area of town its located and the abundant food and night options nearby.
