I hate to leave a negative review because I really wanted to like this practice since the reviews are all so positive. My initial contact was great - online scheduling was super easy, especially as a new client, and the receptionist who called to confirm and get my insurance information was really lovely and helpful. When I got to the appointment, the front desk staff was great but I ended up waiting 45 min for my appointment which would have been ok except that the appointment after X-rays - checkup and cleaning - only took about 5-10 min. I left and felt that my teeth weren’t actually cleaned and had water all along my neck from being sprayed. I’ve never had a cleaning that only took 5 minutes and didn’t include a polish. The exam did not feel thorough. I left feeling disappointed since I had high expectations and will probably not return.

I’m a nervous wreck when it comes to the Dentist. I’ve had two visits for deep cavities, and the care and gentle hands of my Dentist were second to none. The Dentist and staff are professional and calming. The Banes Street office are exceptional. Highly recommended!

I spent the usual amount of time in the office as expected, but not on the expected things. I waited 45 minutes for a 15 minute appointment. They spent 10 minutes cleaning AND polishing my teeth which would normally take 10 minutes each at least. The cleaning was uncomfortable and my teeth still hurt leaving the office and they do not feel clean. Update: I returned to see Dr. Doescher and she was able to address all of my concerns. She personally cleaned and checked my teeth, and I felt very well cared for. Would recommend seeing her.

I'm a bit of a nervous person when it comes to dentists. Staff were pleasant and Dr. V did a good job cleaning my teeth. Anya stood out to me the most with her kindness and step by step explanations of everything she was going to do to make me comfortable. She took my impressions. Sorry if I didn't spell her name right!

Extremely busy clinic, get's you in and out within ~20 minutes. I went here because of proximity to my work, and will be going somewhere else for future cleanings. The tech's were very personable and very nice, which made the experience somewhat okay. About 5 different techs/dentists came in the room in a rush during the time that I was there, perceived to be very unorganized. The x-rays were uncomfortable and only made tolerable because of how nice my tech was. X-ray's took about 15-20 minutes, the cleaning took no more than 5 minutes. Granted, I take great care of my teeth, however, they should take their time and actually polish/clean, regardless of the patient presentation. Leaving the clinic, the front desk staff was very standoff-ish and did not make you feel welcomed, upon entry as well as departure. On the way out, they also spelled my name wrong on my referral slip for other care- it's not that hard, my name was right in front of them.

I had a terrible experience about a couple years ago... So this might be out of date, but I never went back afterwards...The cleaning experience was great, I liked it. BUT...They promoted their teeth whitening gel when I was doing my annual cleaning. They sent a instruction saying leaving the gel there for overnight, I did as such, my teeth start burning after 30 mins, and I washed it off, called the next day. I can hear the person whispering, the wrong instruction was sent to me, then they told me I can get prescription and pay by myself to get some pain relief when I was asking what to do to help with my pain... then they gave me another gel for free, of course I throw it away... they never addressed their mistake or apology to me. So...leaving my review now cuz didn't think about this back then, and start to see it's necessary to share my experience recently, in general.

By far the worst dentist ever! Unprofessional and uneducated! I will never let anyone there touch my family’s teeth ever again. They can barely teeth clean properly! Shaved my husbands tooth down and installed a new one incorrectly, overcharged him and messed up the overall health of his teeth. Please do yourself a favor and find a new office that has professional and educated staff!

recently moved to philly and needed a dentist. the dentists at smile team received me professionally, treated me well, and were respectful throughout. they did an amazing job with my dental needs. very glad I found this place!

I waited until the very last minute to confirm my visit. I was going to cancel. My visits to the office have been painful but my last visit was so much better than usual. Dr. Viraj and Sharonda were a pleasure. I’m so afraid when I come to the dentist because it’s always so painful but the exam and teeth cleaning was more comfortable for me. I recommend Dr. Viraj because he performed a gentle exam. I appreciate that. I will, if I can, request him for my next exam.
