Dr. Stephen Smith replaced my hip in 2008. Within 10 days, I was walking without aid and felt super. I have especially appreciated ongoing encouragement in this practice to avoid knee surgery on that leg, given the “pretty nice” X-rays of its tricky osteoarthritis. I’ve experienced excellent and personal service from all staff here. Highly recommend!

My husband had bilateral total knee replacements in 2021. He had severe arthritis in both knees and extreme difficulty walking. Even though he has multiple medical problems his surgeries were successful. Dr Smith and Katie his PA-C were very helpful in getting the procedures scheduled. The entire staff were very professional and everything went smoothly. This February I had a knee replacement done by this same team and am recovering nicely. The Peachtree Orthopedics across from Piedmont Hospital is an amazing office from the kindness of the front office Staff to the back office Staff. Dr. Stephen Smith is an extraordinary knee surgeon to my friends I referred to him for surgery- which had fabulous outcomes. I also love the P.A.s they have had on staff over the years. I NEVER wait more than 5 minutes before the nurse calls me back, x-rays are taken immediately after they are ordered and both Dr. Smith and the staff don't shy away from questions!!! I recommend them highly! They should teach medical office administration to the 100s of dysfunctional medical offices in Atlanta!

Dr. Stephen Smith and the staff at Peachtree Orthopedics were warm, friendly, and professional. My initial consultation was reassuring, and I feel confident that they will do a great job on my upcoming joint replacement surgery.

I was wonderful to be in the competent hands of POC once again. That included Dr. Smith, his PA, nurse, radiology tech , as well as the receptionists which have always been kind, friendly, and efficient. Dr. Smith was friendly, knowledgeable, aware of my medical history, and, BEST OF ALL, he was not looking at a screen during my visit- he was looking at me and listening! He quickly dictated his notes, completed my treatment, and we had time to talk e bikes! I feel better, not only because of my injections but because I like direct communication and came away feeling confident in the care I’d received!

Dr. Steven Smith did a hip replacement for me . He was fabulous! His PA Katie was great as well as his support team members. My surgery was done at the Peachtree Ortho Surgery Center. Nurses and anesthesia team were excellent . I went on the table at 10:15 and was up walking at 12:30. Was home by .3. Wonderful experience as these things go . He is the best . Personable, attentive, wonderful physician !

As a new patient strongly recommended to me by one of Dr. Smith’s professional colleagues, I learned immediately that he was interested in helping me, got right down to business, and was clear in his purpose and recommendations. I would be fortunate to be his patient again should I or anyone in my familyneed his care.

Such a pleasant experience meeting Dr. Smith in the diagnosis for a Total Knee Replacement...as much as i am dreading the surgery....i know that I made the right decision to drive to Atlanta for my new knee! I was delighted to find such a Doctor who engaged in being caring and knowledgeable...He came very highly recommended and I look forward to getting this behind me..the lady at the front desk who immediately greeted me was a very professional and caring individual...

Dr. Smith was warm and informative. I’ve seen a few surgeons and decided on him. I felt he listened and he came with a great recommendation. I’ll circle back to review him after the surgery. Still for now I fill I’m going to be in very good surgical hands!

Peachtree Orthopedics is a great place that I would highly recommend for those seeking surgery and Physical Therapy services.The customer service is impeccable and my surgeon; Dr. Stephen Smith is the best! The follow up for appointments and after surgery care are consistent and they really want the best for their patients! That meant a lot to me as a recent patient- they are empathetic and they care!!
