I am disappointed with my recent experience with this location. I placed an order at the incorrect location. That was my mistake and I totally own that. I followed the instructions on the app and called to have the order canceled. Like any other restaurant, things can pick up and get extremely busy, I totally understand. I called a few times because the phone service this location has does not have voice mail or an answering service. The first time some "answered" they picked up and then immediately hung up. When I did get someone on the phone I advised that I was attempting to have my order canceled and the response was "we made those a million years ago." When I advised that I had tried to call to have the order canceled as soon as it was placed the response was "Well we were busy and had a big rush so we can't always answer the phone." I then expressed my understanding and attempted to empathize by saying I too have worked in retail and food service but I was still expected to maintain customer service. The young man who I was speaking with responded by saying "Well we're not adults here and we don't have those same responsibilities." I was left speechless after this. I looked for a contact method directly for management and because of my experience with this location I don't trust that I would have been provided with the correct information if I had asked.
We ordered online at Arboretum Smoothie King yesterday. We were sitting in the parking lot when a car pulled in and a teen got out. He walked in, went right behind the counter, and started joking with the workers. He then picked up a spoon and proceeded to scoop up smoothly running over the cup and then then stir in the smoothy the workers was holding. At the very least he hadn’t washed his hands and I am not a fan of food others have played with — even before COVID. No manager available but got phone numbers to call. Of course, we left the smoothies with them. I have tried today to call both numbers provided for managers with no luck and called back for new numbers. No managers there today either.
This place needs more employees working during busy times, bottom line. Must be the owner trying to save money. I’ve been waiting 20 minutes for 2 smoothies. Last week when I was here, the employee was one of the rudest people I’ve encountered in retail. The employee today is pleasant, but can’t keep up. This is the case everytime I come to this location. Owner of the location..... Please spend some money and get your employees some help.
Too much plastic and when you bring in your own cup to use you get mixed reviews, even told you can't use your own cup, against policy. Coffee shops let you bring in own cup! Not going back to Smoothie King
Next time you are at this location take a look at the lids being used for the blenders. There is no way they are being washed. I watched them use these dirty lids over and over with smoothie that had collected over time.
Blonde haired kid they have working is incredibly rude and impatient. I don’t know who in their right mind would have hired him.
I ordered online to pick up at 4pm. I arrived at 4pm to find approximately 20 high school kids inside store with a maximum of four customers allowed.
I was told to leave the store by a female employee tonight at 850 because my cloth face covering wasn’t considered a mask... I think they just didn’t want to make another smoothie ten minutes before they closed. Very disappointing and rude service. Will never be coming back to this location.
Great service, gave suggestions along the lines of what we wanted which turned out great. The kid's smoothies are also a hit for a teething child!
