I am not sure if going in makes the difference but my delivered order wasn't what I expected. My order was wrong, chicken small with my crust than meat, and I asked for mashed potatoes not yams. I have been craving soul food but don't want to tred to Harlem to get it... I was so excited about this place that my food actually made me cry pregnancy hormones. I enjoyed my collard greens after adding a bit of vinegar and a dash of seasonal salt to mask how sweet they were. I'll try going in but I will never order from them.

An absolutely amazing dining experience. The food is superb. The decor is warm and accommodating. The wait staff provided exceptional service. I recommend the fish and grits with two scrambled eggs. Thanks for making my morning chef!

Excellent Customer service. Waiter was very nice and Restaurant owner was very nice and friendly. Came out and greeted the guest. Food was delicious. I had chicken, waffles and scrambled eggs with cheese. Chicken was so juicy and seasoned to perfection. Will return very soon. Hope he expands his business and wish him much success.

Overall good food! I ordered through uber eats and the presentation of the food was a complete turn off! I had to google the place to make sure it wasn't a food truck. The plate looked like it was someone's doggy bag from dinner and that was what they had left! The turkey wings I ordered were a little on the dry side as well.

I placed my order via seamless at 6:30pm expected delivery time was 8pm. At 9 pm I called for the status. The young lady answered, asked for my name and put me on hold for about a min. When she comes back on the line she says all deliveries left out. Now 9:30pm still nothing so I call again. The same young lady answers, as I'm talking to her some guy takes the phone from her and says he's the manager they just received my order now and are making it. Obviously at this point I'm frustrated. I explained I called and the girl said it was on its way so how is it being made now. He says "well at least it's being made fresh, you feel me". Who talks to customers like that?! We exchanged some words and he offers banana pudding as compensation. At this point I'm beyond pissed, my kids are hungry and tired so just agree to the banana pudding. My food arrives at 10:40pm! The food was NOT AT ALL fresh. The fries were brown, the hot dog and bun all shriveled up. The French toast looked like a fried pork chop, bacon little chopped up burnt pieces. And my steak was so hard. I spent $50 and we THREW away ALL the food. My boyfriend called back and the "manager" was so rude and speaking like he was on the streets. If they want to survive the 1st thing they need to do is get rid of him!

I've eaten here a couple of time but it seems they do not know how to handle their customers whether you you call or walk in to place your order. Today, I tried calling several times with no response so I decided to just walk in since it was around the corner. To my dismay, I was utterly ignored as I stood at the counter waiting to be acknowledged while the staff ran around, took phone calls and pretended as if I was invisible. I gave them an opportunity to correct this, since probably they are are little swamped but alas no one asked me what I wanted or why I was sitting on their stool staring at them. I ended up walking away without a word being said to me. I gather my patronage or money is unwanted. I have both ordered for delivery and eaten in, and the food only tastes good when you stay in. This time I decided I would pick up so I could check the food myself. It is not likely I will be eating here again as the quality in their service and food are very inconsistent.

Ordered thru Uber Eats NEVER again smh. The chicken tender kids meal i ordered for my daughter was nasty. The fries were dark brown :/ and stiff I asked for a half n half iced tea lemonade and they sent a kool aid jammer LOL I ordered the ribs with mac n cheese n collard greens The ribs were decent. The mac n cheese wasn't good and nor was the collard greens Oh and the banana pudding they sent was 5 days old. I looked at the date on the bottom of the container Smelt sour bananas were brown Reported them to uber eats.

Just ordered from here around 12:30 and called back at 1:30 to ask where is my food they said the guy is leaving now. I'm only 10 minutes away so when I called back around 2:15 to see what happened their reply was they have no proof that we ever ordered from there. smh 1 star is too many stars who care if the food is good if the service is horrible. smh they just called me back at 3:15 after I posted my original post and said where on 3rd Ave are. There is over 70 employees in my building I work in I promise you they are not getting anybody from this building money ever.

I've been searching for a soul food place in the bronx for years. And finally Sobro Cafe came to the rescue. Where do I began, from the Turkey wings, to the collard greens, macaroni and cheese, yams, EVERYTHING is good on the menu. I even had their breakfast. You cant go wrong ordering from them. If you're looking for a staff to be in a "family setting" this is the place you would love to eat.
