We really enjoyed the calamari which was perfectly portioned to share amongst the four of us. My husband's old fashions got better as the night progressed & their winter special drink a type of white chocolate martini with a sugar rim was tasty. The bread was fresh & was even delicious toasted the next day. We all concur that the fillets were top notch. I shared a 12 oz with my 9 year old daughter. It was more than enough.
The description says Upscale Restaurant.....well, if upscale means spending $175 on ONE main course and a few drinks then it is spot on. We ordered the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and they were very rubbery. I only ate 2 of them. A large steak with sides sides do not come with the steak to share and a few glasses of wine. The mashed potatoes were cold, and the steak was just doused with teriyaki sauce. I am not okay with that. This is definitely not my experience with UPSCALE in other cities.
Solid Steakhouse located in the heart of downtown Little Rock. The atmosphere is sophisticated and perfected with a daily pianist in the evenings. The calamari is unique and I would recommend for a starter. The 10 oz filet w/ lobster tail is a great entree. Steaks were perfected to temp as we ordered. The rum sauce on the bread pudding for dessert was a perfect ending.
My husband I come here at least once a month. Sonny Williams is our go to place everytime! We like to sit at the bar and John the bartender is so nice and friendly impeccable very engaging! The food is amazing. The piano man is entertaining. And the decor is old school steakhouse vibes!! Frank sinatra, Johnny cash, Marilyn Monroe and much more cool picture frames.
The food and drinks here are awesome!! The staff are all wonderful and very accommodating. It's great whether it's date night, girl's night, or just a splurge night. The atmosphere is nice and really enjoyable. I went for my birthday and was not disappointed. Parking: I usually valet, but street parking is available.
This place was delightful! The steak was wonderful and so tender. Overall everything was soooo good. Went for my birthday and they even had the pianist play Happy Birthday. Absolutely a must eat place to visit!!
So wanted to do a quiet, intimate dinner with my wife, the cause was a celebration. I've eaten here before once a few years ago, thought I would go here for this personal event. The food looked delicious and for the most part, my ribeye was. It was cooked perfect to my liking. But the ribeye had more fat than meat. Easily 40% of the ribeye was fat. The atmosphere was nice until the table next to us less than 6 feet distance became occupied. I could have easily touch this lady. The table were my wife and I were seated, was a high traffic spot. Meaning servers, are constantly passing by in such a way that it became very noticeable. Then to top it off, my dessert had hair on it. Now I will be compensated, but the experience wasn't worth $200 plus dollars. The crab cakes however, are fantastic! But that's my experience, I would suggest better grade of steaks and better seating arrangement.
OMG! The food was so good. There wasn't a lot on the menu that I would eat but the steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly and that mac'n chz? Idk I liked seasoned mac'n chz until last night. My only complaint is that there aren't sweet potatoes on the menu. The staff was great and food came out fast. I was hoping to get an anniversary cupcake lol but we didn't have room to eat anything more anyway.
Waited a full hour for our meals. Seafood dishes were cold. Scallops were under cooked. Side dishes were not brought to the table. My steak was ordered med-rare and served well done and cold. Manager seemed annoyed that I complained. This was my first and last experiece with this restaurant. Try some other steakhouse.
Excellent food, peaceful atmosphere with a pianists playing the perfect melodies for a nice romantic dinner. The staff was super nice and our drinks stayed full. Only downfall was it took a little while for the waiter to come take our order. We had the crab cakes for an appetizerbest I’ve ever had and the cowboy ribeye with sonny’s green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. We split the meal and there was plenty of food for both of us!
