In response to the dentist's response below, it seems like they are alluding to the fact that I didn't show up for an appointment which is not the case at all. Additionally, as I noted, they did not even communicate when trays were available let alone set up an appointment for a retainer scan which is why I didn't even realize it was something they should have offered until my current dentist noted that. Thank goodness there are good dentists out there though this is not one. Additionally, they mentioned they love invisalign and I'm sure they love the money they make but they were quick to blame their inability to move my teeth to either of our satisfaction on invisalign rather than take accountability. What professional complains like that to a patient? South Capital Smile Center does. And I would ask anyone reading these reviews to note how they try to turn this around on me saying my compliance was compromised. You will not find a more compliant patient than me, I wore those trays to the exact specifications until they stopped making any movements in my teeth and the dentist stopped notifying me when trays were available leaving me to wear old trays for an extra week or two which is, by the way, disgusting. I went to South Capitol Smile Center years ago for invisalign. They never did get my teeth straight and at a certain point, as the treatment dragged on and they stopped even calling me to let me know my next trays were available, I stopped. They did not even offer or go ahead and make retainers for me, which would have been standard good practice or maybe they did and never called me to let me know they were at the office. Anyway, if you want to hear your dentist complain and blame invisalign and to not be communicated with regarding when your trays are available, and to not be provided the entirety of your treatment, choose South Capitol Smile Center. My dentist now was shocked they didn't do the retainers at the very least.

I highly recommend.Dr. Samaddar and her staff Mike, Jobena and Paola. Over the years they have become almost family to me. This is super modern dental care that fixed my many dental issues, and also created a new smile for me which in many ways changed how I feel about myself. If you're seeking excellent dental care, this is the place to go. Don't hesitate, my treatment included many dental repairs and Invisalign. The outcome is life changing go for it, you are worth it.

Dr Sheila Samaddar and her team are the best - bar none. The office staff are friendly and efficient, the hygenist is excellent and the office is immaculately clean. Dr Samaddar is gentle and thorough in her assessments and recommendations. I recommend this office without hesitation - you will be happy with your experience there!

Everyone at South Capitol Smile Center is professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond when dealing with patients. Dr. Samaddar has excellent beside manner and very thorough with her dental examines. Her dental hygienist also has excellent bedside manner; Nina is skilled, gentle, professional and a has great hands on experience when having a dental cleaning. Crystal is pleasant and goes above and beyond when making appts. On a scale from 1-10 and ten being the highest i would definitely rate South Capitol Smile Center a 10. Customer Service means everything as well as feeling comfortable this dental office provides both !

Dr. Sheila is so great! She is smart and caring, and has a wonderful staff. Generally going to the dentist is not fun, but these guys really make it a good experience. I highly recommend to anyone.

Dr. Samaddar is amazing!! I wouldn't trust my dental care to anyone else. She knows how sensitive my teeth are and always takes makes time and is patient with me at every visit! Everyone in the office provides great service from entry to exit! Thank you for all you do!

I am grateful I found Dr. Sheila Samaddar and her whole staff to be my family dental care provider. They have managed complicated needs for me and simple needs for my small children with equal vigor. I happily recommend this practice for adults and children!

My wife does not have very good teeth. It is a combination of bad genes and having poor dental care while growing up. When we moved to D.C., in 2010, we were looking for a dentist and a work colleague suggested South Capitol Smile Center. I was still using my old dentist, who I was able to see on work trips, but my wife went to have a cleaning and initial evaluation done. They did a thorough job pointing out all the issues and work that could/should be done and my wife came home with a treatment plan that outlined quite a number of dental procedures – most being of the crown/inlay variety. She had a fair amount of work done over the next two years. In the fall of 2012 we moved away, back to where I already had the dentist I had used for years. Not soon thereafter my wife starting having issues with the work that she had had done. Starting about 4 years ago she has since had multiple crowns and other work fixed and/or replaced, at additional substantial cost to us. There were even questions regarding whether South Capitol Smile Center had been defining and billing appropriately the work it had done with the insurance company. Our current dentist even wrote a letter to the insurance company on our behalf explaining how the work done prior was misleadingly characterized in order to help us get insurance coverage for one of the new crowns. I called, emailed and spoke with Dr. Sheila Samaddar my wife’s dentist there multiple times, over several years, regarding how the work they had done was not holding up. All she could say was that my wife has bad teeth and they stand by their work. They were not willing to help us financially with any additional work to fix their work that hadn’t lasted. Fine. That’s their right. Well, the work our new dentist has done for her starting a little over 4 years ago has held up just fine. And, I know should anything not hold up they stand behind their work and will take care of us – I have experienced that myself with some work. So what is the difference? In my mind our current dentist is honest and a good dentist with work that we can trust to last. South Capitol Smile Center took a lot of our money for work that could barely last two years and then were not willing to admit as much. Add to that what appears to have been some shady billing practices. I would highly recommend against going to South Capitol Smile Center.

As usual, my visit at South Capitol Smile Center was great. Dr. Samaddar and her team put me at ease and treat me with care. I've always been nervous about going to the dentist, but not any more. I always know I will be well-treated at South Capitol.

This is a 21st century dentist that looks and acts like a spa. Committed, caring professionals, excellent advice re your insurance, lovely clean office with a spa-like appearance and up-to-date equipment. Let's face it, who likes a dentist? Dr. Sheila has made it easy to take maximum care of my teeth. Gave me something to smile about.
