Southern Maine Pediatric Dentistry

We had a wonderful 1st dental encounter with Dr. Pray! He was so gentle and good with the kids. Although we are veterans when it comes to being in the dental chair it can always be a bit anxiety inducing, but we had little to none this time! We are so glad we found them!

My kids and I have had the very best experiences at this practice. Everyone is kind, polite and extremely caring of my kids. We’ve had to make some big dental decisions and I’ve felt respected and heard in every decision along the way! Highly recommend this practice and its people.

This place was recommended by our pediatrician and it’s been a fantastic experience. Even with kind and considerate dentists in the past we moved from out of state my kids would be nervous and squirmy. They LOVE going to the dentist here. Southern Maine Pediatric is entirely set up for kids. They know their audience. It is a true delight. I get all my questions answered, I feel the appointments are thorough, and my kids have a blast. We’ve only had cleanings and standard x rays so far so this has been our experience of standard care.

The staff is super kind and caring. Everyone has a good balance of being both professional and personable. Our check in paperwork is all done electronically which is efficient. We really love our dentist! She takes the time to remember what our daughters are interested in and is great about engaging in positive conversation with each of them. My kids never complain when they have to go to the dentist! We actually look forward to it.

The hygienists in particular do a wonderful job making my daughter feel comfortable. They don't push her to open her mouth or poke at her teeth until they've warmed her up. They make the whole experience comfortable and nurturing.

Each visit has been wonderful! They are great with the kids, engaging with the parent's, and overall clean and cute! Would highly recommend them!!

We had a wonderful experience for our first visit with Maddie and Dr Nick. They were both very patient and helped Arlo get comfortable so that he would have a good first dental experience. We were welcomed before we even got into the office! Very thankful

Kind, informative, clean, and super kid-friendly! We weren’t sure how our 3.5 year old would handle getting a cavity looked at but she did great. Looking forward to coming back to get it addressed!

We had a great experience at Southern Maine Pediatric Dentistry. It was my sons first dentist appointment and the entire staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more inviting. They let him hold a stuffed animal the whole time and did such a great job with explaining what was going on for him. He definitely loved the jungle theme in the waiting area and patient room too! So happy we found this practice.

Wonderful experience. Definitely wasn’t expecting my child to leave the dentist exclaiming”this was the best morning ever” but they did! The prize box set up was a particular hit! And they felt very comfortable with all of the adults we interacted with.
