Delicious food. Super friendly and approachable servers and staff, and pretty reasonable prices considering everything is so fresh and prepared in house! They were just starting trivia as we were finishing up and were not pushy at all about us hurrying or leaving to make more table room. The portions were large, but the coleslaw could have had a bit more flavour. Definitely recommend adding a sausage to whatever you order. Overall, a great addition to Hamilton's food scene.

Awesome place. Food is some of the best BBQ I've had (and I've spent a good amount of time down south). Staff are friendly and prices are more than reasonable.
They also have a public use hand-wash tub, which is incredible. Highly recommend to any other lovers of protein.

Always amazing food and service! Recent new owner took over and he made sure to stop in and ask each guest how their meal was. The crew is the kitchen are all super friendly and clearly passionate what they make. We initially went to hambrgr next door but the wait was 30-40 minutes so we stopped here, got a seat and beers almost as soon as we walked in. Happy to support local, you've gotta check out southern smoke while on Ottawa. Will not disappoint 💯💯

Came in on a Friday night unknowingly a few minutes before the last order was being taken. Despite this, the staff was super friendly and welcoming and made our order quickly and well. We were never rushed and encouraged to take as long as we needed even after the doors had closed. Food was great and exceeded expectations (had the burger). I'm not one to usually write reviews on Google, but the service was so over the top of my expectations I felt it was necessary. I'm from out of town, but I'll definitely be visiting here again when I'm back.

Great food, friendly service! We went on a Friday night, around 8:30 p.m. Restaurant takes last order on Friday evenings at 8:45 p.m. so be sure to get there before then! We ordered the Classic burger with bacon. Staff were friendly and patient while we perused the menu. The food was ready within a reasonable amount of time, and was served hot. I'm very happy that they have metal utensils for in store use. There is a public hand washing station at the back of the restaurant. The restaurant was clean, and well-lit. The only caveat is that there are no double doors, so there is a good draft that comes through the restaurant whenever the front door is opened. As usual, we rate both the foods and service as 5/5 stars. If you are coming in just before closing, be aware that the restaurant makes food fresh every day, so if they run out of something, it likely won't be replenished at the end of the day, but we still had plenty of choices when we popped in just before closing. Also, best BBQ sauces in town!
