Adventure Zone is part of the services provided by membership. Came more then once and no staff were in the Adventure Zone and the branch had no backups. Families plan on it and drive all the way counting on it, and this branch fails to communicate proactively the absence of a membership service. There were NO COMMUNICATION prior or when we enter the facility, no signs no nothing. As a Y donor, knowing well and being a supporter i Know this goes against the Y mission and values, is not caring neither respectful to waste members time. Shame on it!
Half of the children staff need to find a better fitting job. The others need a course on customer service. Don't take your child here.
I go to this place a lot after school it’s nice needs some updates tho
The adult staff is very nice but this isn’t a place for you if you have a standard 9-6 job. They cater to kids and, I have to assume, the retired, which is great for those groups, and needed in the community, but not helpful to working parents with the gym’s limited hours during the week, lack of weekend hours, restraint on facility when they rent it out for months at a time to 3rd parties but you still pay full price for your membership, restraint on the facility for months for their own kid teams, and the flow of kid centric use of the facility for their different programming. Again, great if you are a kid/parent looking for it. Also could work for you if you have time in the middle of the work day/week to use it, like shift workers or maybe a stay at home parent if you are willing to spend 3-6 times as much to be a member here than their competitor gyms within a mile or two in every direction. Great pool which is rarely available to the members. The equipment is older but the work out rooms are quiet. They’ve degraded the services/amenities in the locker rooms over time which was a bummer. Kinda slow on fixing things when they break weeks, not days. I’m actually quite sad they couldn’t be inclusive of people like me in their mission because it’s the neighborhood gym I’d like to use if they could find a way to make space for me too. Example of their pool schedule for the last several months and will be the existing schedule for several more months. Blacked out times are when they have it set aside for things other than member lap swimming. Green times are available to paying members before and after work. Now factor in classes come in early to set up, swim teams are there earlier and later than scheduled times, they allow the kiddos in swim lessons to keep their lanes if wanted when their lesson time is over, and lifeguards which admittedly other gyms don’t have need hourly breaks.
I'm sure folks here are nice, but I've made more than several attempts to speak to someone over the phone to inquire about a family membership and swim lessons for my child, left messages and emails but zero response. Not sure what the point of having a phone number or an email is if employees dont' respond. Moving on.
For any dads looking to take their baby to the pool here, I'd recommend going somewhere else. There's no changing table in the men's locker room and the changing table in the family locker room is broken. It was a nightmare trying to maneuver getting ready for parent tot class.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Took the time to show me around the facility. They take temperatures before entering the facility and track where people are at. Small gym but has a huge variety for all age groups. Would recommend to someone not looking to navigate the zoo inside most public gyms.
Local, no-frills workout spot. 6-lane/25yd pool. Great prices as well. My only complaint is they aren't open on Sundays.
Marcus at the front desk provides the best customer service, when having difficulty with my account, he was the only one who could resolve the issue without the red tape I was getting from other sales people. Originally I was going to write a scathing one star review due to my issues with their other customer service dead ends, but Marcus restored my faith. Thanks Marcus. The facilities are nice and provide just about everything you could want without the surplus of people like in most commercial gyms. A gym like this in times of Covid is much better equipped to handle and properly space members by providing separated work out areas and reduced bottlenecks by providing multiple access paths throughout the facility.
I love it there!! The whole family works out there. They have something for everyone. People are so helpful and friendly willing to go the extra mile for you. Their isn't people gawking at you, you can do your workout in peace.
