Southwest Foot Institute

This place has apparently been around for quite some time but while there I read a sign that current Dr is not original owner. Not sure how new it is to current owner. I have very good insurance through my work and upon arrival they required a deposit in order to see me. When I asked why a security deposit was needed they said it was because my deductible had not yet been met. I have never ever had a Dr's office ask this of me. That is between myself and my insurance company. I have good insurance and good credit and these people require a deposit for service yet I have no guarantee of their quality of service. I'll pass on this place.

Met with this doctor multiple times. Told him about 3 different problems with my foot. He only addressed one problem by giving me generic shoe inserts. When I came for my check up meeting he didn’t see if I was walking different, or my arch was improving, or that it was good for my broken heel! He just said, “looks good, just keep wearing them.” The technology is old and out dated, super inattentive doctor. Waste of money!

Dr. Pinedo is your go to doctor! He is a very caring doctor. He truly cares about his patients. The staff is awesome also. I would 100% recommend him for any feet or ankle problems!

I recently had a bone spur removed and a tendon lengthened on my big toe. Dr. Pineda was professional and confident that my surgery went well. So far, my healing is on track toward a full recovery. I like that Dr Pineda is attentive and devotes his full attention to me as a patient during my office visit.

I was told by several people that had foot problems that Southwest Foot Institute was the best so I went to Dr. Dershowitz. I am so glad that I did. He is a great Dr./Surgeon and friend. His entire staff that I have dealt with, Nurse Nancy, Iris, Melissa, Hans and rest of staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. After my surgery on my right foot, Dr. D. suggested the laser treatments to help speed up recovery. I was totally amazed. Then I had my left foot done and knew there was no question as to whether I would do the laser treatments. It is amazing as to how fast the recovery period is. I have and will recommend Dr. Dershowitz and Southwest Foot Institute to any one who has foot issues. Thanks to all of you and for becoming a friend.

My feet have never felt so good! Dr. Dershowitz is amazing. He is kind and very patient. He always takes his time explaining and making sure I understand each treatment option and explores every treatment option before suggesting surgery. He has even helped me with ankle pain.

I have always had Bunions since I was a little girl. They never started to hurt until I became a Correctional Officer and started to wear the tight fitted boots. This is when I really started to notice the pain and the discomfort. After looking for a great Dr. to go see I found Dr. Dershowitz. He is an awesome Dr. and person. My first visit was to explain what I had and what my options were. Second visit was to consult about surgery. Since this was my only option, I decided to go with it and see if it worked. I went through with the surgery and all I have to say is WOW!!! my foot looks awesome and after only a month and two weeks I am able to walk perfectly and go back to my job without any pain to my foot. Dr. Dershowitz also recommended I do MLS Therapy, which at first I was a little skeptical since it is only a light beam hitting your foot but it really helped with the swelling and the healing process. Thank you so much Dr. Dershowitz, Nurse Nancy and all of the Southwest Foot Institute for aiding in my healing process. You are absolutely awesome. I would recommend to anyone.

I would like to recommend Dr. Dershowitz if you are experiencing any foot problems. He assesses your situation and will give you all of the options that he thinks would help. He is very upfront with you if there could be any out of pocket expenses that insurance will not cover. I have had 2 surgeries on my left foot over the past 2 years. One was for heel spurs and the other was for a spur on the top of my foot. The surgery center where the operations were done was also first class just like the Doc.

Scheduled an appointment approximately 11-27/11-30 for an appointment on 12/10/2020! They call to inform me on 12/9/2020 that do to there company policy they have an additional $110 on top of my $50 co pay through insurance!! Why you ask I ask the same thing I reached out to my Cigna PPO consultant and they verified that I will only have a $50 co pay as it states on insurance card, Cigna even got on the phone with this scam of a business to correct them yes it was a 3 way call and listened to there conversation. Apparently this does not apply to this scam company. Iris this office manager gives more about scamming people, then letting the doctor “the one that’s important here” see my feet and let the insurance company and you “iris” figure it out. So I called Cigna once again about this and I have filled a complaint. DO NOT GO HERE SCAM

I have recently visited Southwest Foot Institute 4 times, once at their Phoenix location and three times in their Glendale office. Dr. Dershowitz and his staff are fantastic. Dr. Dershowitz takes the time to both explain to you your issue and make you feel like he isn’t in a hurry to get to the next patient. His staff is always friendly and efficient. My problem was taken care of and if I ever need a Podiatrist again I will certainly be going back to see them.
