Incredibly relaxing, this spa offers a wide array of services but I definitely recommend the water massage. You're taken from the main spa outside to a small salt water pool, and the massage happens while you're floating. Pool noodles and the gentle rocking create a weightless sensation, it's like nothing I've ever felt during a massage before. Friendly staff, and valet parking is only $6 with validation Cash Only.
I had an incredible 60 minute Deep Tissue Massage. The masseuse was very attentive, thorough and was an expert at targeting the right areas to relieve tension. This was perfect for someone with chronic lower back pain. No complaints; there was no wait time involved when I came in and my appointment wasn't rushed.
Requested two females and got a male and a female. $340 for an 70 minutes!!! AND she told me I was required to tip 18%. Validated valet parking at the courtyard and it was supposed to be $6 for four hours. Only stayed for the massage and still had to pay another $6. So how much did the spa actually validate?? The female masseuse dropped the rocks during the hot stone massage. The male was very nice and did a great job. I just preferred female and didn’t get what we asked for. Too expensive not to get what I requested.
The lady who works at the desk is extremely unprofessional. I called to ask about why we were charged the 20% of services up front and then also charged the full amount again on the day of services. She said that the 20% should just be the tip then but we didn't agree to that. She then proceeded to call me "cheap" and "un-American" for not wanting to leave a 20% tip after she screamed at me over the phone. Avoid this establishment at all costs. The customer service takes a nose dive the second you don't agree with this woman. She was verbally abusive and the interaction was completely unacceptable.
The ocean massage was not good. It was in a small not private pool at the Courtyard Marriott. The pool was not salt water as advertised and the strong chemical water made my eyes burn. There were people constantly walkin by talking loudly and some drunk screaming and loud banging of people coming and going to the elevator. It was the opposite of relaxing. The pool water was warm, but not hot enough to keep me warm with the cold wind. And the massage was not great either. I was glad when it ended except having to pay $160 for an unpleasant experience
I booked the ocean massage which is conducted in a heated outdoor salt water pool. The temperature was nice, warm but not hot. You float with the assistance of pool noodles while the therapist provides gentle massage and stretching and it's extremely relaxing. I am prone to dizziness and so he intentionally reduced the movement for me, which was helpful. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful experience.
The people here are so nice and make you feel so comfortable! Around the World includes a 30 minute steam on a table sauna. The hostess brought water and kept checking to make sure we were ok. I felt safe and relaxed. Then a 60 minute table massage and then 30 minutes in the salt water pool floating on the noodles and getting a massage there. It really was incredible and everyone should try this at least once. I will be going back when in Waikiki again.
It’s a between 3.5-4 star services. First, the price is $160/per person for two hour services. Second, the spa room/decoration is cheap or needs a remodel. The towels/spa robes smell and they should provide softer ones. Third, the highlight of this spa is the ocean massage. It’s a new thing that we did. The ocean message helped muscle and whole body relaxation. I would recommend this part of the services. And it is 5 star. Last, the owner of this place also did services. Our couple massage was rotated. Just be aware that it might run over 2 hours due to the arrangement. At the end of our services, the lady seemed unhappy, but we paid $392 including 18% mandatory tips...
Pleasantly surprised by the service we received. I wouldn’t call it a luxurious spa the smell’s a bit weird but the treatment was top notch. The ocean massage is an extremely unique experience that is hard to find elsewhere. You’ll feel like you’re flying. Recommend the couples package that includes the ocean massage or just the ocean massage by itself.
This is as good as it gets for the excellent price! My girlfriend and I went for a 2.5 hour couple special and it was fabulous. They are very sweet and the massage was excellent. Very relaxing day for two kamaaina who wanted to enjoy a nice holiday massage without having to pay the overpriced Waikiki spa massages. Would definitely return!
