What a lovely place! A tiny coffee shop that is almost hidden in the downtown scene but you'll definitely keep coming back to it like me once you discover it. In a time when coffee shops look fancier and swankier, it's almost refreshing to have such a classic and unique place that sticks to its core, serving people with wonderful coffee, friendly service, and a small but delicious selection of pastries.
Truly one of the best pastries I've had almond ring. Cappuccino was an actual cappuccino, so if your expecting a late, buy the late. Cappucciono foam was almost merengue like, super tasty. It's a unique stop that I can't wait to get back to.
I seek out Spella whevener I’m in town. This is as close to a European espresso shop as you can likely find in North America. Tiny, stand up sipping. None of this wood paneled 3rd wave coffee where the drinks and decor are the same from Bangkok to Bangor.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
I'm on a motorcycle trip across Canada, the US and Mexico and stopped here for coffee. Best almond milk latte I've had since I left Montreal 6 weeks ago. Charming, tiny coffee bar. Super friendly and incredibly cute barista. No tables inside but couple of small bistro tables outside.
We must stop here when in PDX. One of the best anywhere; SF Bay Area, Seattle, Van. B.C., Japan, Europe... Their cappuccino, seltzer and pastries always put me in a good mood. Love talking to Andrea about coffee.
Absolutely the best espresso I’ve had anywhere in the US. I attempt to avoid coffee drinks as much as possible- my partner is the coffee person, however, I would love to start everyday with a drink from here. The workers are also always so pleasant and easy to chat with. A true gem here in Portland.
Hidden gem in downtown with awesome tasting coffee. I had the latte and the foam was very creamy and the espresso was strong with no bitter aftertaste.
Such an amazing little cafe... tried their shaken iced espresso and it was really good
Super friendly employees, avg prices for Portland, and a really good cup of coffee. Inquired about the chai: good story about Indian family roots that turned to recipe that enters your cup to create an authentic chai. Definitely worth trying!!
Some of the best coffee I have ever had in my life! I seriously think about this coffee all the time. Each cup has a delicious, gentle taste with perfectly ground beans. It feels like I am drinking authentic European coffee. The resturant itself is very small with minimal seating inside or out. Luckily the coffee tastes great on-the-go too. Expect a decent wait, they make sure each cup of coffee gets the attention it deserves. A must try for any coffee lover and a great place to bring visitors.
