I love the happy hour here. Great bang for your buck. All dishes are great size and portion. It's very affordable and the size of the portion is amazing. I love this place. I always crave their thai basil fried rice and drinking noodles. Clear classics. Pad thai and curry are also so good. Their udon is something to try as well! Vegetarian options: You can make anything vegetarian options by asking no meet or asking for fish options as well! Kid-friendliness: High kid chairs Dietary restrictions: Only one that's hard to accomplish is asking for no fish sauce... it's just hard to make Asian food taste good when it's the back bone of all sause...
We accidentally found this restaurant when many of the restaurants were fully booked. I did not realize it offers Asian good and went to order The Wanton Soup or The Dumpling Soup and Satay. The cocktail drink Ginger Cosmopolitan is very good and to my surprise The Wanton Soup is very pleasant surprise and I enjoyed it very much. This sets a high standard for The Wanton Soup. As for the satay it didn't quite taste the same of what I expected, it is however still pretty well cooked. I must say this is a hidden gem in Philly.
You would’ve thought I left a review for Spice due to literally being addicted to their food for years. As you can see, I took a photo of the dry pepper wings half devoured lmao ! I highly recommend this place and they have happy hour everyday but when they are closed which is Sunday or holidays. The chicken wanton soup is my fav during the winter months. The vibe is always good and never experienced a problem with their hospitality. Literally can enjoy spice for any function including birthday dinner, happy hour or just for a quick bite.
The food and service here is amazing! I’ve been craving the shrimp fried rice since I left. I also love the lychee martini. I’ll definitely add photos on my next visit.
Very good service & very delicious food They serve you and your family/friends with high regards. Very pleasant atmosphere. Good sound track playing for you. Shalom!
Friendly lunch crowd and lots of hands on input from owner/manager, the foods were fresh and delicious. Hot soup; crisp brown rice; chicken smothered with vegetables such as green pepper; red pepper; mushrooms; asparagus and more. Delicious. Every customer I spoke to would eat here again.Dine in: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
I love this place. It’s more chill and casual environment. They have a TV at the bar. The workers are awesome. Cocktails surprisingly delicious $7 during happy hour from 4-7pm weekdays AND WEEKENDS. Decent selection of small bites for happy hour as well. Entrees have all been delicious as well both dine-in and takeout
It was a zero star . It was dirty ! hot ! The lowest grade possible of seafood , and the drinks were terrible . I literally left after the appetizer . The pics are very deceptive ! It was more like a high school cafe . The waiters all had on street clothes , I could not tell if they worked there or if they were dining ! Terrible! I don’t even write reviews but Felt it was necessary for this !
Came here two days in a row. The food was soooo good!!! The service was really good as well. My phone died and my waiter charged it in the back while we ate. Came for a work function and had a birthday dinner. We were able to take advantage of the happy hour while we were there, and it was a pleasant surprise! The drinks were good! The bathroom was clean!! Vegetarian options: There were a number of items on the menu that vegetarians could choose from. Kid-friendliness: There weren't any kids in there either day but I would certainly bring mine on another day. Parking: There was not a parking lot near by but there was street parking a ways away. Wheelchair accessibility: It might be hard to navigate into the restaurant, there is a slight incline.
I have gone to Spice 28 multiple times and have always loved there food the duck is delicious. Unfortunately, the food didn't over compensate for how uncomfortable my friends and i felt the last time I went this past Saturday 12/17. I went with my fiance to celebrate a friend's birthday all of us are of color. We got there around 9 and were rushed stating to order quickly because the kitchen closed at 930 of course we understoodeveryone wants to get home after a long day we ordered food and drinks the waiter then walked by saying last call stating if we wanted anything this is the time. Around 925 aka five mins before the kitchen closed another group comes in just so happens they all were of non colorby looks anyway the waiter proceeded to service them with no rush at all. I literally tried to think of any possible answer friends of the waiter no or at least not evidently so. The fact that there party was the same size as ours. Maybe because I just got back from business and was tired from the trip, but all evidence pointed to color. We were all so enraged we wanted to just leave. We finished our meals paid and left. Sadly, I think this will be my last time there. And will not suggest anyone of color to go there as well.
