Spirit Animal is my go-to for wine, always. They have such an amazing selection, and I’ve never had a bad bottle of wine from them! Also Austin is so knowledgable, and helps me pick something that will pair nicely with a meal, or find something new and fun to try!

My go-to wine shop in Williamsburg! Austin is so knowledgable and helpful. The employees helped me pick out wines that I would like and they were all so good and reasonable priced. I really like the Begali Valpolicella and la fornace Brunello. Also the wrapping paper and packaging is so cute

I found Spirit Animal when asking about a drink we had at Barano next door. The bottle was for sale at Spirit Animal and we brought a few home with us. It is nice to see the neighborhood support. In addition, I liked that the inventory seemed very focused on bottles the staff was well educated on rather than an impersonal store with 1,000s of choices. We will certainly shop here again.

Sophisticated wine selections mostly local based. Helpful and professional owner and staff. Definitely one of the best wine shops in Williamsburg.

Where do I begin? Spirit Animal is not only the most comprehensive and diverse wine shop in Brooklyn, but what truly seals the deal is their staff. Austin, Brittany and Keith are extremely personable, accommodating and always have my best interest. What intrigued me initially was the design and warmth of the store. The name speaks for itself because let' be honest, wine is everyone's spirit animal! I could go on and on with the incredible aspects of this place but I can't say enough how going to get my wine when I've been lonely, frustrated or bored has made my days during the pandemic. There's always a heartfelt greeting, pre selected wine to my liking and a genuine smile before I walk in. I'm baffled that ANYONE would speak ill of this gem. I live across the street and support most of my local businesses, but they make it easy with their cleanliness and COVID cautions they take from limiting number of people in at once, always wearing their masks and requiring them. UNLESS they're eating of course, because everyone deserves a lunch break.... and of course the spotless always wiped down surfaces and wine bottles. There is no wine shop I’ve visited in the city with such a comprehensive selection of entirely biodynamic and organic wines from every corner of the world. Also, the service here is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Also, it’s incredibly beautiful. Highly recommend.
