Absolute trash league, cancelled 3 games 8 hours before they happened. Didn’t wait to see. Then tried to silently swindle us out of a game and now they forgot to reserve the field so once everyone showed up including family ready for at least 2 games we were sent home. Half the price but per person on the team this might not be worth it. I would say “you get what you pay for” would be generous. Edit: Archie the ref is cool as hell.
If I could rate it a negative star I would ! Absolutely 100% do not recommend signing up a team through any league sports monster runs . We paid $755 plus an additional $40 for two more players all to only get a 6 game season . 6 games !! On top of that they send out an unexperienced “ intern “ to umpire games who has no idea what he’s doing and is asking us what the rules and stuff are making terrible calls . No scoreboard so we’re responsible for tracking our own runs . Terrible field ! Super unprofessional and ridiculous. Take it from me . Sign up through foothills , south suburban rec , and Denver city wide sports . A lot cheaper , have professional knowledgeable employees , and just overall way more worth the money . We signed up through foothills and got 10 games for $550 . Would you really rather pay $755 for 6 games or $550 for 10 ? No brainer SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY . DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS LEAGUE
This place has no idea what they are doing. Had two venues drop out for their basketball leagues on top of postponing our league SEVEN times! However, the worst part is their clueless "boss" Bart Fitzpatrick. Sent him an e-mail to ask a simple question and was met with disrespect, condescension, and overall lack of professionalism. Don't bother getting ripped off by this company go to a place that actually knows how to run leagues.
I have played in the summer basketball leagues for a couple of years now. The refs are all much better than other rev leagues in Denver and the facilities are very nice and clean. Staff is always helpful
THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST LEAGUE YOU COULD JOIN IN THE DENVER AREA IN MY OPINION. If I could rate with zero stars I wouldn’t hesitate. My team paid almost $90 a person for a league with ONLY 4 TEAMS! Had at least 3 games cancelled for weather and instead of making it up they had the nerve to give us a ‘bye week’. When they did decide to make up a game they made us drive an hour away during rush hour to Littleton where barely half of our team was actually able to make it. We signed up for a Denver league not a Littleton one, we all have 9-5’s and they decide that a 6pm game in Littleton is a good idea without consultation of any team captains or anything. The refs are miserable and some even decide egging on issues between players is a good idea you think high school was bad, just wait until you play in this league. When asked for a refund due to how unorganized the league was, lack of communication, and overall dissatisfaction with every aspect of the league they have fought me on every point. Roger Bandelier, the ‘Market Manager’, was who I first spoke to kept talking in circles and even when he asked my team captain to see if my complaints were streamlined across the entire team and it was confirmed he told us we should have said something sooner. I then asked it to be escalated to a superior which is where I got an email from Bart Fitzpatrick, who works at their corporate office in Ohio. He decided right away no refund would be given and said the whole complaint arose because I had gotten a red card in a game which is the biggest deflecting lie I could have ever imagined a company would stoop to in order to try and circumvent an issue I URGE YOU TO PICK A DIFFERENT LEAGUE. This has been THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD in my 25 years of playing soccer. I will definitely never sign up for another one of their leagues and I will definitely steer everyone I know in the soccer community clear of this organization from this experience. EDIT: This is the email I received back after they saw my review. They also won’t publish the same review on Facebook. “Oh Holden...now see there you go. You were all wound up after getting a well deserved red card according to your own captain and decided to write a late night tirade. It was not ignored. It was addressed directly. Roger reached out to your captain and has followed up with the refs as well. Both he and I provided you with polite and professional follow-up. That you disagree is fine. That you call us thieves and make threats is not. That is slander and will not stand. At the very least, you owe us an apology for your choice of words both in your interactions with us and any similar online postings. Bart Fitzpatrick” Very professional. You might also want to familiarize yourself with the legal definition of ‘slander’. You have multiple reviews of people saying the same thing and you repeatedly combat their claims with arguments of your own. This organization is more terrible than I originally thought. If anyone here owes anyone an apology it’s your company to the hoards of people that you served poorly and then decide to try and criminalize instead of making progress in trying to better your own company.
When I Played on the summer volleyball league this summer and everything was the best I could've asked for. The field at Cuernavaca was very well maintained and the staff did everything they could to make sure everyone was having a good time. Personally I would highly recommend.
Was skeptical of joining a league at first, especially with the little amount of free time I have, but the refs and the rest of the staff made it a fun time and everything has run smoothly, no complaints.
A couple of buddies and I played in a basketball league there we were looking for something more competitive and it was exactly what we were looking for good competition great referee staff and excellent facilities I will definitely be using Sports Monster again
I played in one of the basketball leagues this spring and it was very well run with very good refs. The courts at DU are extremely nice.
Will cancel the league if not enough teams are in it. Then will fight you to the death when you ask for your money back. would not recommend
