Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway

This is Visitor Center was a very nice place to stop. It has lots of informative displays that will help you learn more about the spring mountains. And also has a very nice view and other places to picnic and enjoy lunch with your family. It is also a great place to learn about hiking trails in the area and to ask the very attentive Rangers for advice about things to do. I definitely recommend stopping here first at Kyle Canyon before proceeding on to Lee Canyon. Enjoy your stay.

This place is a massive waste of tax payer money. The staff and the forestry agents are not concerned with the long term care of the forest. Look at all the dead and dying trees along the highway, killed by NDoT's road salt. Residents now have to deal with elevated levels of salt in wells. This mountain WAS safe and sound without salt but within the last few years the officials are in love with the labor cost savings. The weakened trees fuel the bark beetle spread and threaten the whole mountains ecosystem. Conservation of beautiful places of Nevada is not a concern of Clark County.

Fantastic visitor center. Even the landscaping is perfect. Very informative and a must see if you're near Mt Charleston.

The camp. Host there is great he'll let you drive through its small only 12 spots but they accommodate campers ot tents.

The woman at the desk was unattentive and a bit rude. It's a nice place to visit, but they close at 4:00 p.m. daily. it's definitely understaffed and the facilities are not all open.
