Way above expectations. 2 weeks ago I planned to try this restaurant but end up with another restaurant with similar names. That one is a disaster. This one is nice, and I like the buffet style. You have to pay for the meat and seafood. But it is about five or six dollars per dish so you can try a few of them. The vegetables and tofu, fish cakes are all-you-can-eat. The store opens at 11:30am on Saturday. We came early and waited for about 10min to get into the store. Then the restaurant is quickly packed. The selections are a lot thus you will not spend much time getting the food you like. I take away one star as the checkout process is really slow. I understand that the waitress has a few tables to serve, but she is standing there talking with others. Besides this, everything is perfect and I enjoy the lunch there
Excellent all you can eat hotpot restaurant. Veryy clean environment and hotpot tasted exactly as expected. Since they serve Japanese style hotpot, most of the soup base are on the bland side but you can make your own sauce at the sauce bar. All the ingredients are fresh too. They will charge you extra if you order meat or seafood but price is reasonable.
Do you like all-you-can-eat hot pot? I do!!! Spring Shabu has variety of vegetables, fish cakes and noodles. They do have a sauce station for you to mix your own dipping sauce and a huge rice cooker. I do not prefer eating rice at a buffet restaurant . For dessert, they have a vanilla and green tea soft serve machine. I will come back again because there's free parking!
I ordered pork bone broth which was nice for those who don’t want much spicy. The peanut sauce was one of the best I have ever tasted, highly recommend with little chilly oil. Everything was fresh and the ice cream, my friend got three!
One of my favorite spots in Boston! There is a whole buffet of different noodles, veggies, fish cakes, sauces, etc. AND the meat is amazing. There’s different broth options, but my favorite is the spicy Chinese Mala. You cook all your food in the broth so you can customize the taste and flavor. To top it all off, they have a soft serve machine. This place is such a fun experience and you will leave super full and happy.
Best AYCE hotpot in Boston. So many noodle options!! Love their Chinese mala broth option. All of this for a super affordable price. You can always find me going back for seconds at the soft serve machine. ;
Amazing for vegetarians as it has tons of options. The experience was reasonably priced at $19 per person. Loved the soft serve as well. Only thing would be that the broths were a bit on the bland side but this can be fixed with items from the sauce area.
Great food, neat hot pot experience. Each person gets their own hotpot and can select a broth and meat options. The all-you-can-eat buffer includes vegetables, mushrooms, noodles ramen, rice noodles, mung bean noodles, etc, fish balls, uncooked eggs you can cook yourself to your preference, etc. Oh, and there's a soft-serve ice cream machine that has vanilla and green tea flavors!
I recently tried all you can eat hotpot for the first time, and overall thought it was a really good cost deal for great quality food - my favorite kind of place. They have a huge selection of veggies I stacked up on 4 types of mushrooms and a crazy selection of udon, ramen, AND freshly made noodles! I really liked that you were able to throw 5 different kinds of noodles in your pot and eat them all at once. They had ~8 types of fish balls favorites: imitation crab meat and roe filling so of course I tried all of them. Meat doesn’t come with the all you can eat deal, but I’d still recommend getting a couple plates. My bf and I really liked the beef belly and lamb. And you definitely can’t forget about the unlimited soft serve for dessert. The matcha soft serve was very creamy and not too sweet. I know there’s other hotpot places in Boston but, honestly, this place was good enough that I might just be coming back to this one from now on.
Came here for dinner to celebrate the end of the semester with a group of close friends. The food looked and tasted amazing! There was a huge variety of fish balls, noodles, and vegetables. My go to are lotus root, taro, pumpkin and varying types of mushrooms. Definitely recommend trying all the fishballs and seeing which one is best with your friends/family! Watercress and bok Choy were great too. They have a ton of different noodles too: ramen, udon, green tea, egg, and knife cut noodles! Overall, super fun and delicious with everyone getting their own pot, highly recommend :
